Definelty Derek Roy. I always liked him as a junior and a hometown kid (Rockland's close enough to Ottawa). Then he became the biggest diver in the league and I've lost all respect for him as a player.

Keith Primeau without a doubt.

The Canes basically made this guy into a legitimate #1 centre, then he went all prima-donna and wanted so much money basically stabbing us in the back.

Guy is a complete loser, and his playoff performance that one year is the only thing he accomplished after leaving the Canes.

Ilya Kovalchuk. I was really looking forward to him playing and enjoyed his first season or two. Then he got a fat head and had to be taught a lesson by the coach. Quite a cheater with a big mouth. Bottoms in my book.

Gretzky. Loved the Oilers as a kid, but his 'nice guy' persona seems like an act now.

Others
Kovalchuk and Guerin

Jason Allison

Thought the guy was going to be LA's first franchise center since Gretzky left.

A couple of more recent ones:

Mike Fisher - Long thought of by me as my favourite Senator. But, there was a game last year, against Tampa Bay (I think). And he kept taking all these late awkward runs at everybody. There was one against Boyle, that was especially bad, that ended in a pretty pathetic slew-foot. I lost alot of respect for him. I don't know what it was, maybe he was just having a bad day or something.

Doug Weight - Long thought by me as my favourite American player, but last year in the Playoffs, against the Habs, For a couple games, he kept throwing his arms in the air, after every little contact, trying to will the refs into calling a penalty. Again respect, gone.

Derek Roy, Dustin Brown, etc. - Several young good players are starting show certain Avery-esque tendencies...and I don't like it.

Jagr. He was never my favorite player (Go Bondra!), but I was excited when he came to DC. Now I'm one of the guys booing him every time he touches the puck at the phone booth.

What a debacle that deal was...

Many Ducks fans would say Paul Kariya. I'm one of them.

When I read the title of this thread, the name "Alexei Yashin" jumped right in to my head and when I clicked, I wondered how long it would take for his name to pop up. I was happy to see it was only 2 posts.

Hurray for (some) Isles and (almost all) Sens fans being able to unite on something!

Fedorov. I dont hate him as much anymore, but I think he was a little punk for leaving Detroit, especially after demanding that playing 21 minutes a game was simply not enough. Interesting how hes fared after leaving Detroit.

Owen Nolan. I was a big fan of his but as a Habs fan I couldn't even look at him in a Leafs jersey. The only Leaf I liked on his chest was the Red one. ;-)

Owen Nolan use to be my favorite player, now he's just a bum.

Eric Lindros use to be another favorite, but he diminishes his name everytime he steps onto the ice these days. I still like him though, I had the stupidity to draft him to my hockey pool.

As a opposite, I use to hate the Dallas Stars with a passion now I have a liking for them.

Another is Wayne Gretzky, as I kid I respected his legend and always thought of him as the best ever. Now when I'm older I realise he's a whiner and a ass at times.

Mike Comrie, I bloody loathe him. Moreso than Mrs. Pronger even. It's even worse since he got traded to the Sens because I have to see him more often.

oh right.
Brian Savage had a lot of seasons where he started off fast and i'd be willing to rank Primeau with him.

someone please slap me...
The Senators dumped Hasek, not the other way around. Hasek wanted to continue, but Ottawa didn't give him any new contract. And how can you blame a player for getting injured?

Peter Bondra.

I'm not sure I'll ever be able to forgive him for what he, and especially his agent pulled against Caps fans.
