Selenne tossed

Watching the game on OLN and the refs made missed an obvious no call on a delay of game on the Avs. Selenne starts chirping at the ref and the ref just drops the puck before Selenne even got set for the faceoff. Is that even fair?

I saw it happen in a Sabres game not too long ago but the player didn't get thrown out, why did he get a misconduct?

That was the worst call Ive ever seen...and I'm not even a Ducks fan.

Those 4 on ice officials should be made to wear Horace Grant goggles from now on to make sure they can see things like sticks being ten feet away from a guy flipping the puck into neverland

That was a horrible non call. Oh well...you can't win em all (or for the Ducks as of late...you can't win at all...or even score)

yeah, its happened to the Avs 2-3 times this year where they did not get to the dot and set quick enough and the puck was dropped.

It was a missed call on the clear, but thats with the benifit of looking at the replay. The puck was wobbling as it went out, which made it appear like it had been deflected.

And he was tossed really, as his misconduct made him miss the final minutes

I don't know if it's due to hockey's fast nature or what, but this is the one sport that the referees get completely embarrassed on a regular basis...it's humiliating actually, but I don't know how to fix it.

He was tossed because he didn't stop mouthing off to the officials.

Banana Peel is the worst ref in the history of refs ever. The end. I cringe when he does Bolts games

That was a horrible typo.
But yeah, Teemu really should stop. You know, because he always gets tossed and all.

Teemu's a baby and has always been one. He's a good player but he whines about everything. I'm not denying it was a missed call but the ref is not going to change his mind just because you're yelling in his ear.

Change the rules. As it stands, the NHL's rules are highly subjective and can be distorted to suit a ref's mood.

you'd be just as frustrated if your team basically dominated the whole game but had nothing to show for it and the refs aren't helping either. but none the less that's why niedermayer is the captain and not selanne.

Frustrated yes, but I would not want any of my players yelling at the refs for along period of time. Thats just stupid.

So take a two minute penalty with around two minutes left and screw them even more?

I would even call him a great player but so true. As an LA fan may be biased but Anaheim is my home team, so do like them more then your average team. Selanne is one of the few players in the entire league I can not stand. Due to his comments, and his attitude

Well, I'd say that Teemu isn't a baby, but tonight he threw the biggest tantrum I have ever seen. To continually yell at the ref like that is somewhat embarrassing. Oh yes, it was a horrible call, but he should have just let it go. Although tensions were high, Ducks are frustrated that they just can't score right now, it's no excuse, really. He shouldn't have kept on complaining about the non-call. This is exactly what Sid the Kid did a little while ago, and I'll say what I said then.
Shut up, stop crying, and move on.

This is the absolute truth. An amazing player, who never stops whining.

Selanne wasn't crying when he dove to draw a penalty in OT that ended up winning the game against he Pens earlier in the season.

What goes around comes around Teems.
