Flyers at Canadiens 12/8/03

I know it is a day early, but has it been decided who is starting in net?

i guess with Esche's recent groin pull i don't see why Hackett won't be starting against his former foes in Montreal. Let's hope for another blowout at the Bell Center.

Flyers 5 (Leclair 5G) keep the point streak alive
Habs 1 (Ryder)

bad news

The club flew in Sunday. That is not a good thing to do. Like I told you guys. This is a sleazy town where pretty much anything goes. If the team looks hung over Monday. You know the score boyzs.

I have them both, oddly enough, in my hockey pool, is Esche injured? If so i'll leave Hackett dressed.
Esche is out for at least 2 games. He's getting an MRI on his groin in Columbus, I believe on Tuesday or Wed.

Well obviously Seidenberg was called up because of Therien's back spasms, any word on who of these two will get the go tonight? It would nice to see Seids in a game this year, but the Habs tend to choke when their forwards are being physically manhandled by the likes of a Chris Therien type frame. Anyway, we can probably put just 2 hockey sticks instead of defenceman and we still should win, the Habs haven't entered our zone in a couple of years, let's hope we keep that run going.

This has all the makings of a blowout. Montreal has no defenseman that can clear out the Flyers forwards when they go to the net. Hopefully they did get some rest, we are right in the middle of a 8 games in 12 night stretch, but i dont think it matters tonite, Flyers are just to big and strong for the Habs.
Flyers 5 (Williams,Roenick,Leclair,Handzus,Ragnarrson)
Habs 1 (Ribeiro)

I know we probably wont get all 8 points this week but getting 5 or 6 should be the goal, after tonite i just hope they dont look past Columbus for that home and home friday and saturday against the Devils.

You'll be lucky if the Flyers don't score 30.

looks like Garon will be getting the start for the Habs, wise move as well absolutely shelled Theo in the last couple of years. They will be missing Quintal tonight as he was assesed a 1 game suspension. That will be a big prob tonight for the Habs D corps trying to contain our big forwards.
I think it will be a huge night for the Primeau line as they cycle so well in the corners.

Well if Quintal isn't playing tonight, that means Komisarek will play.

Pretty hard to say, he is not getting a lot of ice time. I saw him play one time, and he was awesome. He still needs to improve the way he sees the ice, needs to read the plays faster. If you didn't see him play yet, you'll be suprised how a man of his size can skate like this. Because of his size he'll hit everything, but that's one thing he needs to learn, throw a hit at the right time, sometimes it plays against him.

Flyers are playing as if they spent all day at the airport. They look like they're stuck in mud.

Joni is flying out there, but that's about it.

Need to get Rex back with JR & Amonte.

I also think Zeus should take wednesday night off. He's been playing for a while with sore ribs, and he seems to be moving slower than usual. Give him Wednesday off, as we're going to need him this weekend.

Because the Flyers have flat out dominated Montreal for the last few years including a whooping earlier in the year. This Flyers team is tired though and if this play means that they'll be ready for fri/sat. then i'm a little bit ok with it, though a lose to Montreal is inexcusable. The flyers suck right now and have the past 3 games pretty much, since the Ottawa game, even though we're unbeaten in the time.

Habs have carried the game so far but the Flyers have picked it up in the 3rd period. After the 2nd goal the Habs morphed into the Devils and are just trying to protect the lead.
