Mattias Norstrom traded to Nashville for Kevin Klein and a 2nd round pick
Brent Sopel traded to Atlanta for Boris Valabik

Aaron Miller resigned for 1 year at 1.5 million + incentives
Dan Cloutier retires - please god
Oleg Tverdovsky bought out

Mike Weaver resigned 1 year at the minimum
Sean Burke resigned to a 1 year deal at 750k
players not offered contracts are Mathieu Garon, Jason Ward, Marty Murray, Raitas Ivanas, Noah Clarke (maybe he gets a contract), Jeff Giuliano and Tim Jackman

Paul Kariya signed as a free agent to a 3 year deal totaling 18 million dollars
Brad Stuart signed as a free agent to a 4 year 18 million dollar contract
Ian Laperriere opts to decline his option in colorado to rejoin his good friend Rob Blake in Los Angeles now that Sean Avery is gone.
2 years 3.4 million

Dustin Brown - Anze Kopitar - Paul Kariya
Alexander Frolov - Derek Armstrong - Michael Cammalleri
Patrick O'Sullivan - Alyn McCauley - Ian Laperriere
Tom Kostopoulos - Jamie Lundmark - Brian Willsie

a couple borderline players at the minimum for the scratches
Pushkarev and Tukonen for callups

Brad Stuart - Lubomir Visnovsky
Jack Johnson - Rob Blake
Kevin Klein - Aaron Miller

Kevin Dallman, Mike Weaver, Richard Petiot, Peter Harrold

Jason Labarbera

Barry Brust and maybe if we are desperate Jonathan Bernier

I have not added up the salarys but it should be under the cap.

Crack Pipe...put it down...step away...

Seemed that took some time to put together. A for effort.

Kariya though? Not seeing it.

Mattias Norstrom - stays and retires here.
Rob Blake gets moved after Jack Johnson goes -15 in his first ten games therefore killing all of his thoughts of Blake being his hero. Blake can go to Columbus to hang out with Adam Foote at the cesspool dump. We'll take Brule off their hands since he's struggling and oft-injured which is perfect for us.
Brent Sopel traded to Tampa or Edmonton for a 2nd rounder and prospect that we've never heard of. We'll then debate about that prospect and compare him to Lidstrom or Sakic.
Aaron Miller moved for a box of used jimmies. As for your incentives? What incentives. The guy hasn't scored a goal since 96.
Dan Cloutier will not retire. But I wish just like you do! He'll ride his contract out and Crow will play him 72 games next year with a bum knee.
Oleg Tverdovsky will collect his final 2.5 only to play six games all year riding the Crow dog-house. Only because Dallman is so amazing.
Tom Kostopolous resigned 2 years totaling 1.3 million.......i'm fine with that.
Mike Weaver resigned 1 year at the minimum.....fine with that too just as long as he's only gets the 7th or 8th spot.
Sean Burke resigned to a 1 year deal at 750k.....don't know about that although I wouldn't mind himself and Labs. One word though! Cloutier
Re-sign Ivanans to a five year deal. I know i'm nuts.
Move McCauley and Willisie in a package for two 7th round picks. We love that draft pool.
Trade for Vandermeer since Chi-town is stacked in the back.

Sign Souray to a 4yr 16 million dollar deal.
Sign Gomez to a 4yr 20 million dollar deal....or Drury with a shorter tenure.
Re-sign Lubo to a 15yr Rick DiPietro deal. Oh yeah he's 30.....better make that ten.
Re-sign Cammi to a 4yr 14 million dollar deal.

Fill out lines 3 and 4 with the kids.

Frolov - Gomez/Drury - Cammi
O'Sullivan - Kopitar - Brown
Tk - Army - Lundmark
Ivanans - ? - Tukonen

Lubo - Souray
Johnson - Matti
Petiot - Vandermeer
Harrold, Weaver

Burke
Labs
and our favorite Cloutier

God i'm bored! Ok fantasy is over.

Yours truly Debbie Downer.

I think Cloots will turn it around next year. If he gets injured again next season, there will be talk in the press about him needing to retire. Probably not in LA but definitely in Canada.

Why would anyone trade for Jason Ward at the Draft when he's an unrestricted free agent?

miller-i hope he is traded to either buff, pitt, or tampa(probably be resigned)

sopel-i hope he's traded to either buff, pitt, edm, or tampa
(hoping to edm for anh's 1st or edm's 2cd-wouldn't mind adding a "little" extra to get lupul if possible)-don't really know his worth, i'm probably overvaluing sopel

norstrom-don't think their is much of a market for his salary
(possible trade partners-minn, pitt, buf, atl)
-like to see him moved the most(cap space)

cammi-i'm thinking he's gonna be shopped around, maybe mtl, nash, or det-like to see him resigned

jmfj-plays next year

pushy-gone as part of a package deal

garon-if not dealt for a mid round pick then he will not be tendered a new contract

tverdovsky=bought out

mccauley=another year on IR

ward, ivanis, and lundmark-just fourth liners, don't care if they are here or replaced
(rather give playing time to tukonen, boyle, or parse-if they are signed and able)

thornton-DL's guy is here to stay

TK-hopefully resigns

free agents: we get two at most

stuart-will end up in LA

souray-i like him more then stuart, seems like a guy who is not scared to call others out-maybe hopefully that rumour is true about his family

smyth is the guy i'd most like to see in LA but edm will do all they can to lock him up

drury-is going to be resigned by buff

gomez-seems like an ideal fit, gonna be expensive

Draft:

gonna be either kane, alzner, or turris (kane will probably go first overall)

frolov-gomez?-cammi?(if still here)
osully-kopitar-brown
TK-armstrong-tukonen
thornton-mccauley-lundmark (call ups=cliche/boyle/parse)-let youth play if they can
ward and ivanis=don't really care
{pat kane anyone}
{like to see if DL can sign jan malak}

visnovsky-stuart
blake-jmfj
miller?-norstrom?-souray?
(petiot-hersley-harrold)
{alzner anyone}

dallman to manchester
weaver=not tendered

burke-resign him please
labarbara-earned his chance to stay
cloutier-let him find his game in manchester
(there are no better goaltending solutions)

Deal Miller, Sopel, Garon.

Buyout Cloutier, sign Biron and have him and Labarbera as the two starters.

Sign Chris Drury and Sheldon Souray. More realistically, Sturm and Stuart though.

Either way Kings need to shed salary on D for Johnson or a free agent like Stuart, Hannon, or Souray, they need to do something about the goaltending, and get Kopitar a top 6 winger.

No not really. I was only replying to an incentive based contract. Maybe I should shift it to Miller playing more than thirty games.
He's made of glass and this is the second time around on his contract year that he has all of you fooled. ****ing guy is useless. He actually passes worse than Rob Blake if that's even imaginable.
This club is so backwards that we've been brainwashed to accept cheese! Pure velveeta! We go from pretty good, to bad, to just pure dog ****! Why not build off pretty good for a change?

So you somehow traded a free agent at the draft? And then re-signed him afterward?

I don't know if any of you saw ESPNnews earlier, but EJ Hradek was on and he was talking about the need for vet defensemen around the league and that a team like the Pens would probably go after Aaron Miller.
