Lubomir Visnovsky

guys just for fun. What would it take to get Lubomir Visnovsky from LA. Who would you want from the Rangers. We could move Prucha. Would that be enough?

He is the best prospect we have. Also I don't think the Rangers would move the 1st round pick.

How about Prucha and Girardi
Girardi is a young defensemen who is starting in the Rangers lineup now.

If the Rangers had a 60+ point producing defenseman who was signed at 1.9 for next season, what would you ask for him in a trade? If the Kings came and offered a similar deal, would you do it, or ask for more?

Staal and a 1st.

huge price to pay but your reseaving a top 5 offensive defensmen who still cares about his own end. With a better supporting cast add 10 points a season to him.

Staal is the centerpiece of the deal. Projected high end defenseman, but has to live up to it over the next few years. The first rounder is to make up for the fact that Vishnosky is NHL ready, proven, and upper echlon.

Staal and Prucha may not be a bad deal as well, or Sanguenetti, Prucha and a 1st or Montoya and Sanguenetti.

overall I highly doubt the deal gets done as Kings fans will over value vishnovsky and Rangers fans will over value their prospects.

What happened to "just for fun?"

I love how people come on here expecting that Cammalleri and Lubo could be had for anything other than a team's top prospect+top line player, etc. People in the East really have no idea how good a guy like Lubo actually is.

staal has a high ceiling as a defensive shut down stud, he will never have the offense of visnovsky...lubo would immediately make the rangers a better team..he would be their best D since leetch.

lubo is a top 10 defenseman in the NHL..great offensively and solid in his own end, very underrated by most. I have no problem with shooting for the moon if the kings actually would consider trading him.

To New York Rangers: Visnovsky + Pushkarev + 3rd round pick in 2008

To Los Angeles Kings: Staal + 1st round pick in 2009 + 2nd round pick in 2007

I'd say that's pretty even.

(EDIT: OK......I'll admit it......my proposal is merely a clever ploy to land Tavares!)

First off, its laughable to suggest that you want Visnovsky, a Top 10 defenseman in the NHL who is 30 years old, and signed through next season at a bargain bin price of $1.9 and then be shocked when teams want your Top Prospect. If the NYR offered Staal straight up for Lubo, Lombardi would hang up the phone and laugh.

Let's put it this way, if the Kings called offering about Lundqvist, I'm pretty sure you would want Jack Johnson coming back in any deal, and JJ is at another level from Staal as far as prospects go.

As for Blake, how about Marek Malik (To offset the salary) and a 2nd rnd pick.

Although I don't see the Kings moving Blake, and not sure if the Rangers have the cap space.

Guys NYR need a top four defencemen without giving up much. We will not give up top prospects or 1st round picks. If Visnovski and Blake are worth that much then I guess a deal won't get done.

What kind of defencemen would you give us for Prucha. The only reason we are moving him or in my opinion I would move him is because we have no room for him.

We are playing him on the fourth line which is a waste. If we can get a top four defencemen then that would be great. How is Sopel doing. Is he good defensively I know he's only 30.

Sure, but to be fair, LA should throw in Kopitar also.

sopel or miller would be fair for prucha...they are both ufa's though. miller is better defensively...sopel can give you quality offense with reasonable defense. they are both just solid D.

So, basically, you want to trade a fourth line forward for one of the best defensemen in the NHL.

Why don't you watch a Kings game for once and decide for yourself?

I live in New York. They don't show Kings games there. I don't have OLN and don't plan on getting it. Actually I am a big Ranger fan and have been since I was a kid growing up in NY. However, between work and all the other things in my life I don't get a chance to watch every NHL game. I watch the Rangers and that's about it.

So I don't mean to insult you guys with proposals you might think is rediculous.
I just wanted to know what you guys honestly though of Sopel since you guys are in LA.

He wants a top 4 Dman, without giving up top prospects, or 1st round picks.

Good luck.

Look at the return Witt got last year, and he was an UFA the following summer.

Lubo won't be traded for any less than a ransom at this point.

Lubo is a #1 or #2 on almost every team in the league. A top prospect and 1st rounders wouldn't be an option, they would be a requirement.

The fact that he is coveted by many teams and hasn't been traded yet shows you how much the Kings really like him, IMO.

Shifting attention towards Sopel makes a lot of sense. I'd say Sopel and Pushkarev for Prucha and a pick.
