stick a fork in us

too many injuries to too many key guys too late in the year with too many teams starting to make their playoff push and from my view the way the guys are showing up on the ice we don't appear to have much gas in the tank. only hope is staal can reach into his gut and start producing some amazing numbers and ward stands on his head for the next 2 months-that or some divine healing goes on in the locker room.

I didn't want to create another thread, so I'll ask my question here, what's Williams' status? Day to day I presume?

I have no idea why so many fans want to give up when this team is right now sitting in the 8th spot, 4 points behind the division leader with a few games to go against them.

the lack of heart and effort from night to night is a bit draining... Lavi can only blast them enough times... We look like a lazy team right now...

I haven't given up, but I'd hate to see us deal Ladd or some picks for a rental in a season that likely has an early playoff exit as its upside.

I would HOPE ya'll wouldn't give up on your team. Carolina is still one of the better all around teams in the NHL. They just so happen to be in probably the most competitive conference right now with ATL and Tampa. If they get into the playoffs, I'll predict they go to the 2nd round easily.

Cole may come back tonight. Hedican is listed day to day but may go tonight as well after not suffering a concussion as initially speculated. Cory Stillman is just a week away. We can get healthy in time to make a serious push at this.

Williams is said to have reaggrivated a back injury that has been bothering him this year a bit and is listed as day to day also. I wouldn't expect him to miss more than a couple of games. The injury situation isn't looking as bad as it was a few days ago.

Sounds as if you have plenty of your own to worry with.

I think they will make the playoffs but won't get past the second round - if that far.
