Out of town scores..next two are pretty big

Toronto is about to lose to the Sabres, Boston is beating the Habs and more importantly the Isles are going to beat Washington which will give them 75 points.

6 points between the Rangers and Islanders going into the home and home makes the 4 points up for grabs absolutely huge. I know there are other meaningful games after these two against key opponents but I still say I feel like anything less then 3 points is a dissapointment. Between being due against the Isles for a win and the momentum that the Rangers should feel like they gained after today I think that's just the way it is..It'd sure be nice to have Straka back for the series...

We may be able to score a few more goals now but our defense is still suspect.

Yes, it is nice that this year both the Rangers and Islanders are playing meaningful games this late in the season.

When was the last time all 3 NY teams made the playoffs-- 1994?

Yeah and I know the Devils made it also, so 3 NY teams & one Jersey team.

Might happen again this year if we can start winning.

That's OK, I doubt we're going to catch the Islanders.

We should not focus on catching the Islanders...they are a good team who is hot right now. We need to focus on our OWN playing and just making it into the top 8. Whether we finish 8th,7th, or 6th does not matter...lets just make it in!

The next 2 games are do or die. I think if we win them both we will make the playoffs, if we lose them both we won't and if we split them we might or might not.

I look at it as them getting their points (Isles) before we take all their's away! So tonight was great.

Unbelievable...in spite of how many points this team has frittered away, they are STILL in position to make the playoffs if they take care of business.

We need to win the games in hand, and play the best hockey among the 6 teams fighting for the 8th spot (assuming the Thrashers and Isles hang on to 6th and 7th which is by no means certain.) But there's still a very good chance only 1 of Car, Mtl, Tor, NYR, Bos, and Fla make it to the show...It's gonna be a battle! It's pretty simple for us...Win or go home!

Whether or not we actually make the playoffs this year. These next two games ARE GOING TO BE playoff hockey. It should be alot of fun. Unless it's lopsided, in which case-it won't be for us, unless we're up, I mean. Ah forget it Let's go Rangers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyone going on Thursday?

Pens win 4-3 (SO) today over the Flyers (3/4/07) so they have 79 pts right now, 10 pts ahead of the Rangers with the same number of games played (65).

ATL just went up by 2 (3-1) in the third over Carolina. Barring a collapse in the final 10 minutes we are about to be 4 points out of 8th place with 3 games in hand. Man are these games against the Isles huge!!!
