We've got a great lineup for this week, headlined by San Jose Sharks forward Ryane Clowe and Vancouver Canucks radio play-by-play man John Shorthouse. The show broadcasts live from 2pm-4pm on XM Home Ice 204 and AM 1510 The Zone Boston, and is replayed on The Team 990 Montreal on Sunday morning from 8am-10am and on XM Home Ice 204 from 10pm-midnight. If you want to chime in, just call the guest line at (866) 337-9663.
Ryane Clowe, San Jose Sharks: Power forward Ryane Clowe has quietly become one of the Sharks' most consistent contributors this season, tallying 28 points in 33 games to go along with 57 penalty minutes (second most on the team) and an impressive plus-eight rating. Ryane will come onto the show with us this week to talk about life with the Sharks, what it's like to play alongside Hart Trophy winner Joe Thornton, and how he handled the transition from the AHL to the NHL.
John Shorthouse, Vancouver Canucks Radio Play-by-Play: John Shorthouse is in his ninth year behind the Vancouver Canucks' play-by-play microphone. The Vancouver native is only the third radio announcer in Canucks history, and he will join us on the show to break down the Canucks' Cup chances. We'll also get John's take on the impact Roberto Luongo has had for the Canucks, and ask him what moves (if any) Vancouver GM Dave Nonis should make in advance of the trade deadline.
And of course, we'll get to "Make the Right Call" with former NHL referee Paul Stewart, get the "Campus Buzz" with Bob Snow of NHL.com, go back in time with Mike Wyman's "The Golden Years," this week featuring the legendary Billy Reay, and finish things off in "The Sin Bin" with PJ Stock.
