BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - Buffalo Sabres goaltender Mika Noronen suffered a cut to his neck during practice on Monday and will miss the team's game Wednesday against Detroit.
Noronen also missed Tuesday's workout after team doctors told him he would not be allowed to practise due to stitches that were needed to close the cut.
Noronen was injured when forward Chris Drury's skate sliced his neck just below his jawbone and to the right of his throat area. Drury fell after tripping over Noronen's stick.
