Give me a break on the idea that Hollweg is a "fighter" picking on non-fighter in Pitkanen. Joni has no problem getting mixed up in the rough stuff and throwing his weight around, so by extension he should have no problem backing it up with his fists. Or maybe at the very least not completely cowering over in fear at a man who gives up a few inches and a few dozen lbs to him.

And Hollweg isn't by any means a "fighter" in this league. I don't care how many times he drops the gloves, a win for Hollweg in most fights when he matches up against the real fighters, the McGrattan's and Brashear's of the league, is a draw and hopefully not too much swelling in the facial region. The idea that this is some type of mismatch is a complete crock.

The Flyers took a ton of cheap shots at the 'gers (not to look away from Jags' unfriendly elbow to the face of Mike Richards.. I think it was Richards). That first period was sickening. The Flyers looked like their intent was to injure and or maime in that first frame and its a shame they didn't have to pay on the scoreboard for their wreckless acts of thuggery.

Fedorouk has been a cheap, pansy ass **** ever since he got his face broken in. I used to respect the guy and he was one of my favorite players in the game.

Now? The guy is an overglorified cheapshot thug who doesn't deserve to play the game. What happened to him? His game is completely different.

Can we trade for Derrick Boogaard? That would make the next matchup against Fedoruk interesting

Honestly, I'd like someone to bust his face in again. The dude turned from one of the more respected guys in my eyes to a piece of trash.

Perhaps after a game when the opposition has a rash of injuries and has been gooned up all day isnt the best time...

Holweg has fought numeous times. pitkannen has never fought to my knowledge. Players know this so why even bother tyring to go after someone who you know wont fight back? I dont remember Eager losing to him at all.

Not a good game for the Rangers. They didnt respond to the physical play and how the hell do you let Jagr consistently get thumped and do nothing about it? That has been going on for a while now correct? What is the deal with that? is he not well liekd or what? There is no excuse to let him get that type of abuse.

You don't remember Eager losing? The last game our teams played each other. Not only did Hollweg land more clean shots, he got the take down. Go look at the fight card for that fight. Hollweg got the clean win.

I hope Lundqvist and Shanahan are ok.

That was a mean hit on Shanny there... purely accidental, but mean nonetheless.

I thought Lundqvist's injury was a bit unneccessary, since the shot was rising over the goal... but he probably didnt know that and wanted to make the save nonetheless.

I truely hope none of those injuries are serious. Especially Shanny's.

Sort of. This team usually loses when they don't bother waking up for the games. Today though, both sides decided to take a few liberties with each other and that just adds to the tension.

Rangers are playing desperate for the playoffs and Lundqvist is putting alot on himself for sure. He wouldn't take a chance on any shot that could possibly be on net. Unless maybe we werent playing at home, but that's the story of the season.

....can we just swap out the rangers with the globetrotters or something?

*starts whistling*
