The Kovy - Metro - Kapanen line is jumping... if Kovy could only bury with a bit more consistantly he'd have like 40 goals already with the amount of shots he's taken, at least by last seson's percentage ..

And Lehtonen's rebounds are reallllly still out there -

He's a big kid, he just dished one back to Meszaros....

But yes, hopefully we do see some team-reaction in general...

i understand he is a big kid and can take care of himself, but this team should really have someone out to send a message.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmaaaan..

Sutton saved the play on the last nasty rebound that Kari let in, luckily they didn't call a penalty when the net went off...

That last shot, though wasn't the cleanest anyway... but its been a rough night for Kari.

1 on 3 coming in at the boards. McCarthy should have stood his ground and not kept backing up. I called that goal as soon as Kovy got in too deep and missed the net. Then was certain we were giving one up as soon as Mac dropped off. Poor.

Someone on our team should crash the net and force Kari out of the game.

In a supposedly big game he has been Dunhamesque.

Thrashers should be winning this game very easily.

Get the tutor-shooter out before the next game..... They've got to bury some more of these chances, unbelievable..

4th softie of the game for Lehtonen.

Good call on keeping him in after the first 3 Hartley.

And another Annie Sutton crap load to finish it off. Beautiful use of CONE #25.

PS...Belanger sucks and did Hamel even play? I thought he was supposed to want to hand it to his old team.

WAddell needs to GO NOW!

That wasn't Kari's fault, but he hasn't made a big save all game.

lehtonen blows today,
the offense is so stupid period.
instead of getting the puck deep and cycling for a bit they just turn it over to have odd man rushes.

Kovalchuk has a two on one, instead of getting a shot on net he keeps toe-dragging then misses the net and ottawa comes back on their own rush and ties the game up.

Mellanby instead of trying to hold the puck on the boards tries to bring it out to the front with no one there, and Ottawa attacks and eventually gets the go ahead goal, This is so pathetic. we had 3 1goal leads and we don't even get a point. This is so SAD. we aren't making the playoffs. our defense is the weakest in the NHL by far. we arent even going to make a trade probably and COBURN doesn't even get a call up yet. THIS TEAM NEEDS A BLOW UP now. great empty net goal woohoo. this is garbage.

The next few hours could be the last time you'll see Atlanta up the top of the division boys; might want to take a look before it's gone.

like 8 times. and you know what, what kind of game plan was it 3-3 to basically play an up tempo game with Ottawa and exchange odd man rushes? our team is in a slump, and we are good in the Shootout, i don't care, play and defend the tie and get to overtime to get a point at least. BUT NO lets keep attacking and pinch and not play safe hockey. If we played safe hockey in the 3rd we would have 4-6 more points then we have now.

Also especially in OT, we should just play for the Shootout like Dallas does. I don't care if its boring hockey to play the trap but when we are on a bad losing streak we need to get a win no matter what. But this team just sucks right now.

After today, with Carolina and TB winning we will be 6-8th place in the conference and i think we are 9th after all the teams catch up in games played we are going to be 1 point back out of a playoff picture.

This is so stupid, we made stupid trades, we don't trade to improve our defense. We don't know how to build on a lead or keep it. This team is so frustrating. It looked so promising at the start to at least make the playoffs but now i am positive we won't make the playoffs.
With Buffalo, New Jersey, TB, Pittsburgh, Ottawa locks for the top 5 spots. There are only 3 spots left for Carolina, NYR, Toronton, NYI, Boston, Montreal and Atlanta. After games in hand are played im sure we are at the bottom of those teams point wise. With us playing Carolina 4 more times and we suck against them, We aren't making the playoffs.

This team is Pathetic.
