New Injuries: Who will be called up?

this may sound a bit insensitive, but i definitely am not trying to be. Just wanted to start a bit of a discussion.

what do you think the situation will be with call-ups for Lundqvist, Malik and Shanahan? lets say they are out for the short-term, although Shanahan did not look good..

agreed.. i definitely think Montoya should get a long, long look at the end of this season.. (although that ruins Hartford's chances this season).. definitely Cally too...

I would have liked to see Dubi called up to center Shanny and Avery. Too late now. Shanny has been my favortie Ranger this year. He has been Messier lite.

I haven't heard anything, but with Lundqvist continuing the game, I got a hard time seeing him not playing tomorrow?

If Shanahan is out, Korpikoski should be brought up IMO, while we keep the other lines intact. He have been hot lately.

I feel bad for Montoya because this situation isn't fair to him.

haha you're right. I forgot about Krog. he'll be back in centering that 2nd line with Nylander back on the first line with his buddies.

actually the more important question is, if Henrik cant go tomorrow, does Montoya sit out todays game after playing last night? Montoya probably cant go 3 games in a row.

Difficult decisions to come.

I just hope Brendan is ok, thats all I care about at this point. hes been my favorite Ranger this year, and has always been one of my favorite hockey players.

Pock will play for Malik if he can't go. I am sure Ward will be fine. Callahan may get the call....and Montoya JUST came back from an injury himself....he would need a few games in Hartford anyway to get back in game shape.

the word is that ward will be able to go tommorrow and that the hand injury is not that serious, that is good news, just a bruised wrist

hopefully lundqvist will be okay but we will have to see if they call up montoya, as for malik and shanahan pock and orr will prob get inserted into the lineup

This game goes to show that we should go hard after a guy like Garnet Exelby who can take out the entire Flyer team by himself and let our guys feel safe and do their thing.

I am starting a campaign to trade for Garnett Exelby after seeing him take out 3 guys in the same play.

I'd love to see Callahan or Dawes. My 2 fav prospects.

I'd rather see Shanny tho

Anyone but shanny and lundqvist right? bad juju right there.

I know the Shanahan injury was horrible but losing Henke would just sink the season. Valiquette wasn't great but he wasn't put into a very good situation either. You bring Montoya up to play--if Lundqvist can't go. Otherwise we should leave him where he is. I'd like to see him before the end of the season get a few games but our margin of error isn't great for experimenting if we don't need to. As for Malik and Ward--I have to say that my most atavistic instincts had me hoping that Ward would kill Picard in that fight--so I guess that wasn't good. Malik--I don't know--we seem to do better with him in the lineup but most nights he doesn't look good even when he does come out with his pluses. Pck is still around for one. If either Ward or Malik can go we won't necessarily need to bring anyone up. Orr--like Rodent said might have been good in the lineup today. Calling up a forward I'd go with Callahan--although lately he hasn't been putting up the numbers.

I was at the Wolfpack game last night, four rows behind the goal.

Dawes is fast but I just don't see the offensive touch.

Callahan looked small and weak.

Dubinsky played well be was tossed for a third man in midway through the 3rd because of the ass-clown that is Purinton. Dubinsky also forechecked the best.

Immonen was a sratch.

Montoya was unreal...what is cool is that you can see his maze and blue chest protector under the jersey...we a big wolverine logo.

Anyway just a little update.
