Phillies 2007!

Pitchers and Catchers went down on Thursday, there's nothing else in Philadelphia Sports to look forward to, who else is hyped!

I really do not understand how people can be so into football. I'll watch the Eagles once in a while, but that's about it. Wayyyy too much hype for my taste.

Go Phils!

I like all sports, and for different reasons. But i dont understand how you can find baseball more entertaining on Tv than football. I mean maybe if you dont get football, it's not that fun...but otherwise, i'm bewildered. Although i like baseball a lot, but i can agree that football is more "exciting".

For me, there are just way too many stoppages of play in football. You have a play that runs for maybe...10 seconds, and if you are lucky you get to wait 30 seconds for the next 10 second play. Baseball is slower, but it has a much better flow.

Should be a good season. If the bullpen turns out okay and we stay healthy, we'll win the division.

I'm not sure. I'd like to get rid of him for some relief help, especially since I don't want to trade Rowand away (for multiple reasons). But he is in a contract year and could have something to prove. I'm not sold on Eaton. I'd like to have the option of trading either of them, but we can't go into the season with six starters.

Hell, I'll keep this thread alive if it won't be stickied.

Went to Clearwater yesterday and caught the Phils loss to Detroit. Typical Phils game: take the the lead into the 7th and then implode.

F. Castro was the gas-can this time. And my new favorite Phil, Greg Dobbs was 0-3. Hmm, that wasn't worth driving 6 hours for.

Ah, hell, yeah it was.

Go Phils!

I didn't watch it, but one of my friends is saying he saw on ESPN that the Phils are trying to pursue Beltran? I don't believe it, but can anyone else verify?

I second that. Why would the Mets move him in the first place, let alone to a division rival. I think the ESPN guys are trolling Phillies message boards again for some insider stuff.

I've never been a fan of Philly sports other than the Flyers. I was born in San Francisco so I'm still a Niners/Giants fan. But the Flyers are the Flyers. You can't hate that. I just can't root for the Sharks. They don't have snow.

Just the type of biting Phillie commentary I was hoping to provoke.

Can't blame him. He probably doesn't want to see how badly he sucks.
