congrats to those who called him a faker...

Even if he had a so-so run lately, I still trust Huet is a very capable netminder for us ; I hope he comes back strong next year. Get well soon , Cristo-Wall

Now, does that make us clear sellers ?? Or at least do we call off the possibility of mortgaging assets to take on a significant rental ? Without Huet, what would be the point of that anyway... Guess it'll give us a chance to see what Halak is made of

I really hope that Halak plays well, because if he doesn't, we're screwed. There is no way we can make the playoffs with Aebischer in nets.

At this point you can be glad you kept Aebischer. He should be just fine for you.

No dice. We're a team that's playing with shattered confidence, we can't afford the 2-3 weak goals a game that Aebischer is good for.

Why not?
He was injured when he started here and only came back stronger.

He might be like Souray.

What like Roloson, except this is what happened to Rolly last year upside down, before the SC Run... I want my Huey!

This could be a good thing. Instead of Halak not getting his chance and losing him to another team, ala Vokoun, he's getting a shot to show he can be the guy until Price is ready.

Huet was good this season. the problem is not goaltending. Yes lately he has been shaky but who was not on this team. look in the first half and remember how many times he saved our ***** in 40+ shot nights.
Huet is the guy until Price is here

Huet out for season, we definately are going to go far in the playoffs this year if we even end up making, time to make some trades. We should definately be SELLERS at this years deadline, meaning, goodbye Souray

I'm just wondering how long we stick with Aebischer before making the long bomb and praying for the next Dryden/Roy miracle. It was obvious we had to give Aebischer tonight's game. I don't know if it's obvious for tomorrow after this loss, but one might think he still deserves one more try? I'm split on this one. I don't really trust Aebischer, but on the other hand, there's supposed to be a reason we pay him $1.9M to be our 1B guy, right?

If we made it in and got that far, I'm sure Huet would not even be dressed for a game!

Halak has to be licking his chops. This is his chance.. It was Aebi's chance, but he didn't play well at all tonight.
