I have been keeping the exact same stats as Lexicon since November.

Buffalo has earned 50 pts in regulation (60.2% of its pts) while Ottawa has earned 62 pts in regulation (87.3%)

Congratulations, Sens! This team is second in points earned in regulation only to San Jose (95% of its points).

Of other eastern teams (reg pts earned)-

Pitt = 63%
NJD= 69%
Tampa= 67%
Toronto= 76%
Carolina = 80.5%
Atlanta= 69%
Minnesota (for fun) = 52% of its wins in regulation

Atlanta has 69 PF, 72 Points against...

And the NYIsles beat Pit!

Anyways, the system is what it is so it will be difficult to catch Buffalo (but there is a shot, esp if the Sens sweep the Sabres in the home and home without giving up those extra points). If anything, it says Buffalo has an inflated record.

However, I think this is a good sign going into the playoffs for Ottawa but it is difficult to predict playoff success from regulation success for any team.

The Islanders just beat the Pens not that it matters.

Now if the Flyers can beat the Bruins tonight gaining the confidence to beat the Sabres tomorrow I'd be happy.

I can dream right?

It'd be sweet though, and then we beat the Oilers and the Sabres in the home and home. That'd be 6 points right there.

i would love it if we played pitts, ive watched alot of their games and they arent a team that would be scary in the playoffs, they blow alot of leads and they are a very hot and cold team, not to mention all of the rookie and sophomore players that could very well quilt under the pressure

If they get a stay at home defenseman or two they could be scary.

Sorry for making fun but I ROTFLMAO when I read that line. Other teams go golfing while the Pens go quilting. I can just see Crosby and Malkin in a competition to see who makes the prettiest one.
