Stortini not in the lineup? Seems like the perfect time to put him in the lineup would be against a team with Neil and McGrattan.

Also, it's quite terrifying to look at that starting lineup and see, essentially, 8 rookies in the lineup; 4 up front, 4 on defence.

McGrattan will probably be a healthy scratch again, Ottawa only seems to dress him for games against teams with dedicated bruisers.

Shame the Sens GDT doesn't post lineups.

Heart says 4-3 Oilers
Mind says 5-1 Sens

I'm not sure why Markkanen's in tonight. I've been wanting him to play more games this year like most but it would make a lot more sense for him to play one of the games in the backtoback coming up, preferably against Detroit and leave Roli fresh for the Minnesota game

And not in Ottawa considering their firepower and the fact that i've been running my mouth for a solid 3 weeks about tonight's matchup. Hopefully Markkanen isn't too rusty!

Thanks!

And he's not scared to juggle them from what I've seen so far this season... Makes for fun bets during games about who's out with who next.

I do not want to see Greene go anywhere unless it is for a # 1 D but it is a bit curious he is scratched essentially in favour of Roy and/or Gilbert. Either they want to get the kids some games and have officially thrown in the towel or something may be done tentatively already (ala Forsberg getting scratched before the trade).

They could just want Greene to see a game or two from the PB but the timing is curious.

it's funny that mact takes so much flak here for playing roloson too much, and now we're *****ing that rolo's not starting tonight.

make up your minds.

I'm *****ing cause I get to see the Oil once a year (ok, twice this year with the game in Colorado) and they bring out the backup when playing against the number 5 team in the league. That and I'm gonna eat it for the next month after all the yappin' I've been doing about this game with all the sens fans in the office.

Anyways, 3:55... Time to pack up and head out to the bar for pre-game supper. Enjoy the game everyone, and to those that are heading out to SBP, see you there. Keep the bags at home and make some noise.

GO OIL!

I don't know why Stortini is out. I'd rather have him in the lineup over pretty much any forward not named Hemsky/Horcoff/Smyth/Torres at this point. He does something every shift even though he gets very few.

Ah well, Winnie should be fired up at a chance to play.

here's hoping we get a win.

Tencer said it could be showcase time for Winchester.

LOL. We haven't given up, but we choose not to compete. No wonder the Oilers management and coaching gets so much flak. How many of you would have been more impressed by them just telling the truth. We're throwing in the towel and are building to next year?

It's one thing to say that Jussi should play more in November or December, but when we are fighting for a playoff spot you usually want to see the regular starter in. I'm not arguing with putting Jussi in. Like I said in an earlier post, he would have to go in at some point so we may as well do it now, but I can understand where some people are coming from.

Maybe it's just me but I really like the looks of that 2nd line...

Torres - Pouliot - Lupul

That looks like a line we could very well go with next season as well if Pouliot continues to progress.

I personally have no problem with Juice starting tonight. I guess some feel our # 1 guy has gotten some good rest lately and there is a back to back coming up where Jussi should get a game soon anyway. Otherwise Jussi played well in recent games so why not.

Can't it's the worst, but it has to be one of the most inexperienced.

4-3 Oilers . Map(2), Lupul and Smyth. Gerber will give up at least 1 bad goal. Let's hope !!!

Roy could be getting showcased as well, you know.

I don't see where he fits in for next year, and I highly doubt he'll accept an AHL assignment at this point in his career, he's been vocal before in his belief that he's ready for the NHL. I could totally see the Oilers sending him off for whatever they can get, giving him a chance to succeed in a better situation.

I'll be surprised if he's an Oiler past the deadline, frankly.

And we'd have to put him on waivers to send him down.

Matthieu Roy for a 3rd round pick is fine by me..
