Vogel mentions that GMGM had two teams interested in Friesen last year. Another team had actually offered more for Friesen but GMGM had promised Burke that he'd trade him to Anaheim.

Backstrom is the best player/prospect outside of the NHL, Varlamov is another key piece

sees a lot of movement in the next week, seems to be an 'Arms Race' in the West

Maguire mentions Olli Jokinen as a guy potentially on the move at the deadline.

Maybe it was more like this:

Burke wrongs GMGM some way.

GMGM: "I'll get back at you if it's the last thing I ever do!"

Two months later:

Burke: "I'll give you a 2nd rounder for Freisen. You know how little I value those 2nds"

GMGM: "DONE! He He He He... Take THAT Burke!"

St Louis is the West's version of Washington. Compares E Johnson to Langway

I thought his comments during Sunday's game were rather, well, stupid and had nothing to do with the game at hand. So I guess I'm not surprised he's not telling us anything we don't already know.

Not a real strong draft, sees things dropping off after the first 15. Cherepanov could drop due to the lack of a transfer agreement

Just that he's a victim of a numbers game right now. Vogel wanted to talk to him but Eminger was leaving when Vogel was on his way in (to the optional practice, I guess).

I'd call Los Angeles the West's version of Washington but St. Louis will be good, too.

He meant that the Caps should go after Datsyuk this summer in free agency.

Part of me agrees with him becasue I do think Datsyuk would be the perfect center for Semin (or Ovechkin). But I hate his playoff production.

15 points in 42 games is horrible. However that may also bring his price tag down. And I do think the Caps need to worry about making the playoffs first, which is something he could def do.
