Trade feeler from a Canucks fan (Beech and Heward)

I highly doubt the Canucks will be making a titanic splash at the deadline but the Canucks GM has said he's looking for a Center and a Defenceman. Two players I can see who might fill those gaps are Jamie Heward and Kris Beech.

It seems Beech has worn out his welcome here and Heward will be eclipsed by the Capitals younger defence. Now forgive me if I'm wrong on these points but what would you see as adequate compensation from Vancouver?

Oh come on, we can probably get a 6th rounder for them!

a bag of pucks and a conditional pick in the 2015 draft.

seriously, heward's about out of gas in the tank. i hope he stays with the organization in a coaching capacity or somesuch, 'cause he seems a very solid guy. but i think his playing days are done.

beech is an enigma, and you're right that he probably doesn't have a place in d.c. i can't imagine we'd want much for him though.

I don't want anything for them, i want nothing that could possibly remind me of Kris Beech.

How about a horse to drive the bandwagon out of town?

I don't know if Heward's realistically a guy they'd move. They like him, however bad he is.

Beech has no value.

But, if they want to give future considerations for the draft in 2107, they're out of here tomorrow.

We'll take the rights to Mika Noronen and whatever other player in the way of a salary dump that's necessary.

EDIT: On second thought, is Noronen an UFA this summer? Obviously, never mind if that's the case. Either way, it won't take very much to land those two.

Guys... this is beech we're talking about here, a former 6th overall pick. Ron francis type, we should get their top prospect plus a 1st

Honestly, if the 'Couv wants them that badly, GMGM will probably want to get a 3rd round pick for the package to make up for the pick he lost in acquiring zednik. I think, thats what he'd do

I heard there was a really good young star coming for that draft, the Canucks should hold on to their picks.

if we can get a beer for Heward of Beech, I'd be happy.

But only if we can hold on to Heward for another week until Erskine and Muir get back.

You dont want them. Trust us here. They both stink and i would be very suprised to see them back next year. Maybe Heward for leadership as he seems to never be shy about being a spokesman for the team.

I think the most valuable thing about Heward is that his wife is the president of the Capitals Wives group.

Didn't they rename it because so few of the Caps are married? I thought it was like the "Caps' wives and girlfriends" club now.
