Colorado just got scored on again. 0-2. Minny has a pretty good forecheck going.

I know we play Minny a lot of times... but does anyone think we can catch Calgary?

if they lose tonight, we'd only be 6 points back

unfortunately, they're playing the lowly 'Yotes

Anything is possible....

(even though I would still bet more money on the asteroid than the Oilers making the playoffs... )

3-2 Minny with 4 minutes left. It was 3-0 Minny after 2.

2-2 now as the Coyotes tie the game. Hopefully the Avs can make a similar comeback.

It's getting pretty evident that we'll need to go on a run like the Sharks did last year. If Lowe still thinks this team has a shot, he has to make a move now.

Mother****er. ****!

Colorado has a chance to score, the guy breaks his stick, Minny gets a break and scores.

EDIT: Avs back within 1 goal with 1:45 left. Wow.

No kidding. I would hate to see a three point game, but if it means Minnesota loses, then I'm fine with it. The Oilers need to catch Minnesota no matter how close the Avs are to us.

EDIT: Scrap that, Minny scores.

I agree, i would target Phoenix for D-man. Go for Boynton, who is not playing top minutes in a team and getting $3 mil a year, but steep for someone to play 16 mins a night.

Interesting Question:

Does Lowe Move Sykora for a ufa who helps this team more than Sykora, ie UFA for UFA?

I am saying this because of the line we put out there tonight with sykora in it:

Thoreson-Peterson-Sykora

It basically had no mesh to it, does he trade Sykora and other prospects and picks to build maybe a 3rd scoring line or maybe even another checking line??

I don't know the answer to your Sykora question but I was thinking of the exact same team and the exact same d-man (Boynton) that you were when I made my post. I don't know his availability but it might be worth a shot.
