Great offense by the boys tonight...crisp passes, many creative plays in the offensive zone to really cross-up and confuse the CBJ defenders. Finally some nice finish, too. Smytty and Horcoff were absolutely solid tonight, glad to see it from these two. Hemsky is just THAT amazing with the puck, he may not shoot enough but man he's got wicked skill with that puck. With the right coaching, he's a 100-point player without a doubt. Torres and Lupul looked much more comfortable tonight, as well. We out-hustled them down low, won the puck battles along the boards and created some nice chances all night. Could've easily been 6-0 with the way we dominated in their zone.

Team defence was FINALLY exhibited...Collapsing down low, forcing the CBJ forwards outside, sweeping away loose pucks in front, clearing the zone efficiently. The blueliners made all the simple plays tonight and it made a word of difference. And how about Ladislav Smid, 1ST NHL GOAL and played an absolutely wonderful all-around game. Give him time, kind peoples...#5 is a complete defenceman in the making. No one really looked uncomfortable or spastic tonight, which is definitely a nice change of pace. Goaltending? Shut out for Roli, 'nuff said. Solid effort between the pipes by him tonight.

Very sparse crowd, but very polite fans. As I mention me and a buddy of mine sat at the very top of the arena, but there was no bad seat in the house. They're a good bunch of fans and hopefully hockey continues to grow in the area, it definitely has a chance with the Jackets, Ohio State NCAA, a USHL junior team and some decent high school programs in the woodwork. Driving to and from the arena was a piece of cake, every arena should have such a plan (ya listening, Pittsburgh?) Nice bars around to get a few victory brews afterwards. Great night to be an Oiler fan for sure! Ran into Terry Jones from the Sun in the concession line as well and talked to him for a minute. Feels we won't make the playoffs (no surprise there), and thinks Gilbert and Pouliot are stars in the making. Gotta agree with that, hopefully my boy Tommy G is OK after taking that elbow shot early-on from that plug Shelley.

Speaking of Judy Shelley, did I mention he sucks? He has no business being on the ice, he can't skate worth **** and waits until someone's vulnerable to take a run at them. The hell with that crap. 4-0, solid win...it's time for a winning streak

You don't think he's on his way to threatening 100 point season in his career as it stands?

No because Craig MacTavish can't coach, and a better coach would insert a chip into hemsky so that he could control him by remote.
