Geez, surprised nobody's answered this yet. Well for starters, you'll want to pick up The Hockey News Future Watch. It's a magazine that's due out any day now. If you live in the U.S. you're best bet is to order the Zinio version from Transcontinental. If you subscribe to The Hockey News, this is part of your subscription. The Hockey News also does a draft preview in magazine format. This comes out at the end of May/early June. If you're looking for some scouting information tailored to fans, I like ISS's Future NHL Stars report. It's sort of like their Monthly Scouting Report, but scaled back and more affordable for the average fan. ISS also publishes a two-part draft guide. It's more pricy than the The Hockey News issue, but it's pure scouting reports. No ads and no draft history of each team. It's more expensive than the The Hockey News issue, but if you're hardcore, this is what you want to get.

McKeens Draft Digest is a monthly magazine about the 2007 eligible prospects.

thanks guys. Which magazine would you say has the most information on the teams and who/what they are interested in?

McKeens has a writer that talks with a couple of NHL scouts - but neither gives you an idea of who is interested in who simply because NHL teams won't tip their hand this early if at all.

I have a subscription to the Hockey News, it's pretty good so far. Can't wait for the prospects issue of it.

Is one magazine more"official" than another. It seems like ISS is the most official but its very expensive. What are your thoughts on McKeens? They seem reasonably priced. How about Red Line Report?

i have an online subscription to Mckeens, its very good. I'm gonna grab the draft preview, comes out in may about $16.00 US. Hockey news is good too. If i was a betting man, everyone is wondering whos gonna go first overall, i am sure it is RW-Patrick Kane. He's gonna be a gooder.

Don't forget online resources!

(shameless plug below)
Here at Hockey's Future, we do a draft preview for every team in the league that details the team's wants and needs and offers ideas on who they'll draft based on those desires and their draft history. Here's the Flyers preview from last season: http://hockeysfuture.com/articles/8886

We also have a Draft Center with profiles of the majority of players who will have their name called at the Draft as well as feature articles on most of the big names going into draft day.
