something about le fleur de-lis always made that one special to me.

green's my favorite color and that N^* logo is class. you can't beat a name like Northstars either. I think they should bring back that shade of green for the Wild.

1. Boston black
2. Chicago red
3. Colorado maroon

Also I tend to like black and white uniforms recently. What teams used this color scheme (apart from the Hawks original jersey and LA jersey of early 90's)?

You know, I've always liked the Sens' 3rd jersey and the old Flames jersey.

Count me in as another Nords jersey lover. Their road is the only non-Isles jersey I've ever worn. Current favorites include the Leafs third and Sabres third - hopefully they'll become their permament jerseys.

The idea of it was a modernized version of Roman art for the Senators and Gladiator... and it worked. Until some moron decided to cartoon it, and the team jumped on it for no reason.

Then they wonder why retro jerseys sell so well around the NHL - and why fans love it when teams wear the retros. "How can anyone want the old Oilers jerseys back? THe guy that created Spawn designed the 3rd. SPAWN!!"
Excellent post, exactly what I think. I loved how simple they were in the late 80's, earl 90's.

The minnesota North Stars might have been my favorite at the time. The flames one is great, really simple, the logo and that's it. I hate the whole new technotronic look of jerseys, it's ugly and we should all go back to the vintage ones, they seemed to had a soul back then.

Could you guys imagine Ovechkin in an old caps jersey? eheh.

I like both the white and blue Nords jerseys...as well as the redesigned version had they remained in Quebec.

My favorites are the home white and away blue Colorado Rockies jerseys. Along with my Devils and (butt-ugly) Scouts jerseys, I have a bunch of 'em I wear to games:

#1 white Chico Resch
#1 blue Chico Resch (got him to sign it for me)
#5 blue Rob Ramage
#9 blue Lanny McDonald
#9 blue Don Lever
#16 white Merlin Malinowski (I've been doing research for a possible book about the history of the Devils, from their inception as the Scouts in 1974 to their first Cup win as the Devils in 1995. Anyway, I found Malinowski's phone number and gave him a call. Very cool guy who couldn't have been nicer and more open about his days as a Rocky. I have some DVDs of old Rockies games where he made some nice plays...anyway, because he was so nice and helpful I decided to get myself a Malinowski jersey.)

Since I go to about 25-30 games a year, regular season and playoff, I get to wear them all.

The Leafs jerseys of the 80's were sweet too...great shade of blue, and I like the white stripes with the leaf in it going down the sleeves of the jersey.

To tell you the truth, I liked the old school Oilers jerseys. Although the Quebec ones are awesome.

I don't know why, but the Blackhawks jersey does nothing for me. I don't see what the hype is all about. It's not that original and kind of boring.

Jersey's I like:

Nashville White

- White Pens

- Black Capitals

Jerseys I do not care for..

White Flyers

Tampa Bay

Boston

Guess I'm more of a new age look rather than boring/ugly/old ones..

I like the old Ottawa striped jersey from their first incarnation.

For me, I usually like a jersey that is somewhat simplistic, which is why I like a lot of the older ones.

I also Like the old Boston Bobby Orr white or black uniform.

Current ones I like, The 3rd Wild Jersey, althoughI Iam not fond of their actual logo.

Any Montreal Canadien Jersey, especially their third white. Shear beauty.

The Nordiques jersey, both home and away.

The Blackhawks whites.

I love the old Yellow home Kings jerseys from the 70's.

And yes, who could forget the legendary kokudo planning team:

Just love the colors and the bright fabric used in the jersey.

I agree with you all the way. Although I did like the Jets, North Stars and Nordiques jerseys more than I ever did the whalers ones. I find it quite annoying that the whalers keep popping up. How can their still be whaler fans? There is no team anymore.

I like them up until they substituted the yellow with gold. The gold just doesn't seem right.
