I am confused and bewildered.

Really slick diving poke check from Erskine on Madden there.

Marty hung out to dry again! Gordon with a great pass to spring Fleishman.

What a joke....Janssen doesn't want anything to do with Erskine.

First NHL goal....but not the last NHL butt whipping.

What was with the Devil's skate stomp on Jurcina? I was glad to see Erksine or someone do something there.

And just when you thought it was safe to exhale... Oh well, at least this is one game I get to watch on TV, rather than Slingbox.

Talk about cursed....Ovy has an on target empty netter and Semin gets his lazy butt in the way...the kid needs some break and I think the floodgates might open up.

You have to think they are showcasing him. I mean he doesn't play all season and then all of a sudden with 2 games to go before the trade deadline and the date all players have to be in the minors to play in the AHL playoffs (Tuesday) he is in the lineup. Somthing has to be up, someone has to be at least looking at him or McPhee is trying to get someone to look at him.

Or it could be that Fehr and Clark are out.

Anyway....good all around game from the Caps. Beech even looked good, that first goal should be his.

Grats to Flash on his first!

Maybe for the offseason. I can't see him being dealt until then.

He's in a contract year so it's imperative he shows he's got what it takes to stick. I liked the second-line combo of Semin - Beech - Flash. Flash & Beech know each other's tendencies from playing together so much last year and it showed.

Defensively, the Caps deserve credit. They filled up the passing lanes pretty nicely, though the Devils had some great chances throughout and couldn't bury them. They need more of a skilled guy than Mike Rupp in front of the net on the PP.

Hey it wasn't ugly at all, well maybe just a little at times, but still a 2 point game. Goaltending on a whole was hot. J played ahell of a game and kept us in it.

OV still looks bewildered out there at times, crosses the blue line shifts to his left, stops, either dumps or looses the puck. Getting predictable. He's got to score soon to get his confidence back.

Fun game to watch. Congrats guys...

Flash has potential to do something in the NHL down the road.

I don't really get the whole lets write him off before he has even played a decent number of games.

I guess we can't all be GMs or Scouts.

Why not dress Clymer then, he is already here. No need to call up Fleischmann for 2 games.

If the Caps want to add a quality young player they are going to have to move more than just a pended UFA. They are prob only going to get picks and prospects for Zubrus, if you add Fleischmann into the deal all of a sudden you could get a pretty good young NHL player back.

Not saying it will happen. But it is just very strand to me the timing of this call-up with a healthy Clymer in the press box. Or am I wrong and Clymer is hurt too?

Because Clymer provides 0 offense and his defensive play hasn't been great either since his shift back to forward.

He won't do it for the Caps, that was always my big thing against Flash. I really don't think he is that talented either, but even if he does become an NHL player it won't be here in Washington.
