Looked to me like they fouled him from in front, as he skated towards them and his progression resulted in the takedown.
the rulebook needs to be "relaxed" to allow for more of these calls...

and it should be expanded to make:

Holding the stick a 4 minute major penalty and enforced consisently (meaning you close your hand on an oppenents stick and that is a penalty)....you'll see the game open up after the coach's start screaming that a player(s) cost his team 4mins and 'x' number of goals b/c he held the stick for balance or obstruction...or b/c two guys do it in a period and that is 8 mins on the PK b/c of it...

Yeah, he cares about stuff that matters, just another reason to give Elias all the respect in the world. One of the top 5 LW's in the NHL if not top 3.

Yet he doesn't compare to Marian Hossa when others were debating trade value? I don't think he's top 5 but he could definately be one of the best.

Hossa has more "trade value" than Elias. Trade Value is a combination of age, contract and skill. If you consider Elias and Hossa to be equal skill wise, Hossa's age and Contract give him the better trade value.

Elias is 27 and makes 4.722 mil

Hossa is 24 and makes 2.75 mil a year.

Those 3 years and 2 milion dollars give Hossa a larger trade value...

Hossa is better. Actually, IMO he's a top 5 player in the game(I know no one else agrees). Elias is better then any other player on the Sens though(though that can change with the developement of Havlat or Spezza).
