I almost wish we'd call someone up for that third line until we get some scorers back, rather than just wasting Legwand with grinders like Fiddler and Tootoo. It seems like bad management of assets. Peverley maybe?
I've noticed that as well. Then again, sometimes it seems they get caught in the defensive end after an extremely long cycling shift, so I guess that is to be expected at times. Forsberg saved a potential goal by pushing it across the crease.
On a side note, this is the third absolutely ridiculous call against the Predators. Legwand did nothing, Forsberg did nothing, and I believe it was Fiddler that was called for doing absolutely nothing...Not that it matters, but the officials really are doing a poor job tonight. On the BJackets side of things, the penalty called on Foote in the first was a poor call.
Forsberg is only 6'0 and only weight a bit over 200lbs. Erat is 6'0 a buck 90.
Kariya isn't even 5'10 (when I met him, he was only a BIT taller than me. And I'm only 5'8) and weighs probably a buck 70. They just get out musceled.
True, but Forsberg and Erat are the strongest two players with the puck on the roster. Forsberg is also an extremely fierce hitter, so I think the size issues for them are a non-issue. I suspect the problem is more the defense pairing of Kimmo/Zidlicky than the forwards....and the high turnover ratio the line has at times.
good, they scored. we deserved that, with the way we've been watching the play in the third. get the puck, dump it in, and skate back out to try and "defend"
Ugh, not a good goal to give up. All the missed chances are coming back to bite us. This is literally over the tenth 10 goal lead completely overcome against us this year....and its the Jackets no less.
If you want a goal scorer - well, the better of the two would be Ramzi (just more experience - he was the CHI Wolves go to guy for a couple of seasons). But, if you want a grinder, who can score every once in a while (14 this season) take Segal.

Peverly has looked sharp this season. I'd wonder about the experience. Also, don't overlook Durno, who we just got back from, I think Anaheim...
Radulov has actually had a very very good game. My only thoughts on him not playing on the second line in the third is that they wanted to pair him with Legwand....
What's more embarrassing: giving up a two goal lead in the third to a horrible hockey team, or knowing it's your biggest weaknesses and being, to a man, literally helpless to do anything to stop it?
