GDT: Coyotes @ Flames - Feb. 26th

the Flames are coming off a HUGE 7-4 win over the Sharks and desperately need this to put more space between them and the Oilers... a win will give them a 9 point spread (assuming the Wild hold on to beat Edmonton its 3-1 with under 3 minutes remaining)

for the Flames Iginla is red hot... 4 points agaisnt the Sharks and while having none agaisnt the 'Yotes in teh previous game he got 9 shots on goal... Tanguay & Hamrlik both had 3 helpers Satuday night... and Daymond Langkow netted a pair and looks to keep his career numbers growing against his former team

Nice GDT and Photoshop skills dude. Maybe you can be the avatar guy for our playoff run.

Anyways, flames CAN NOT lose this game, everytime we underestimate bad teams like Chicago, Columbus we ALWAYS lose. I say that Flames will win this one, 4-1.

Great graphics there man. The Flames need to play up to their ability, not down to the Coyotes.

I wonder if Reinprecht will come in and "embarrass" Sutter.

Is this game on ppv? Regardless, they said on the fan Moss is more than likely to be back in the lineup tonight and that Lombardi will likely stay on the wing on the second line. I love his speed, and if you keep him on the wing, that's not bad because he's not the best on faceoffs if memory serves and his blazing speed on the wing has lead to a few beauties. So what will the lines be?

Tangs-Conroy-Iggy
Huselius-Langkow-Lombardi
Amonte-Primeau-Moss
Friesen-Yelle-Nilson

I hate to see Ritchie get the shaft, but that's a good lineup.

Looks like McLennan is getting the start tonight. Either way there is no way we should lose to this team twice in less then a week. They better come out to play and get the win tonight.

That's good, seeing as how our next two games after tonight are divisional games.

Laraque and Nolan healthy scratches. Could there be some deals in the offing? Stay tuned.

i'm loving the defensive play this period... they get the puck out, they stay fresh and they dominate... thast why the 2nd against SJ was so horrible

Great second period. That's the kind of thing they need to do. Simple clearing plays make for few turnovers in their own zone.

I really really hope the Flames sign Primeau in the off season. I'm lovin' this guy. Go for the hat trick, Wayne!

5-2 final. Great much needed win to get back to within 2 points of the Canucks.

McLennan was awesome tonight, and so was our 3rd line. Iginla however I thought had a horrible night. Bring on the Wild.

Another average performance, watch the entire board get all excited because we beat on the of the worst teams in the league at home.

Well done tonight. They were doing the little things right.

No, Ben, this isn't a sign of the team turning things around, but it was a chance for them to work on the things that they don't do so well, and I think that they were doing those things well tonight. They were making the simple clearances instead of going for breakouts, keeping the Coyotes' offense to the outside, and generally looked good in their own end.

I disagree, the team was very lazy in the third period when the game was in hand. This kind of attitude will be our downfall and it's a big reason that we can't hold on to leads, and it will come back to bite us in the butt come playoff time.

That's what separates the average teams from the good teams.
