This is why Salo is our starter. Conklin is horrible at controlling rebounds. It's frustrating.

good pressure before that second goal by the sharks. seems to be a recurring theme from the oilers, we really need some guys who can put the puck in the net.

2-1 sharks, Marleu on a rebound (sound familiar?) actually the fox guys are saying that Moreau may have inadvertantly scored an own goal. Still conklin should of covered after the first Marleau chance.

I could be wrong here but I think that the Oilers need to improve their special teams

maybe we will win a game again when the pk actually doesnt get scored upon. this is really pathetic that special teams are killing any hope of winning games.

salo may be the starter, but he is no better than conks at controlling his rebounds, in fact i think its one of salos weaker points, along with him always being badly out of position and giving up on plays way too often

Salo is a lot better at controlling his rebounds. The current Salo perhaps not, but the majority of the time Salo is better. Conklin is just a bit quicker.

well i think we can agree that we have two goaltenders who have rebound control problems.

Conklin is a much better puck handler as well.

No reason for Salo not to be starting....this is just plain stupid. They need to get him going and the only way that happens is by playing him.

I won't dispute that, as that is Salo's main weakness. I could care less how well he handles it as long as he stops it for once!

Couldn't agree more. I was in shock to see Conklin starting again. A backup who's luck has run out, and hasn't been able to get the Oilers out of their slump. Fatigue is settling in, and I'm pretty sure Salo could have handled back to back games with his long rest.

Yeah i cant believe people want isbister to be traded. It usually takes him a few games to get going after his unlucky injuries, but he's great ot have out there.

Why did Conks have to start one? We are talking about a guy who usually plays 65-70+ games a year and now he can't play back to back games on succesive nights? It doesn't matter that he just came back from an injury....if he's healthy enough to play then he should play. 3 games in 4 nights isn't going to kill Tommy....if anything it may get him in a groove if he plays well.
