Yeah but the r and the e are side by side, slip of the finger (no not the middle one) I am sure.

Sorry... TSN doesn't charge, I guess sportsnet does.

I'm getting wary each minute as other teams are making moves and the Oilers are just standing pat. Hopefully Lowe gets some nice draft picks or prospects tomorrow..

Scratches so far tonight:

Janne Niinimaa (anyone want him back), Sergei Samsonov, Pavel Kubina, Brendan Bell, Steve McCarthy, Denis Hamel, Niko Kapanen

Let's hope that Lowe isn't devoting too much time to the Smyth situation so that we miss out on some deals that could really help the team. Why does Smyth always have to be such a pain in the *** to sign??? That alone must sour on a GM after awhile.

Ok so im counting Vancouver out of the buying category, and probably even Detriot, so that leaves us with:

Probables:

Anaheim
TB
Car
Buf
Ott
Pits
Wild

Maybes:

Det
SJ
Flames

Definte no's:

everyone else

That list is getting shorter by the moment, hopefully Lowe makes up his mind, intersting thing though, if we buy, who do we buy? Everyone cheap is gone, Calder, Rivet (though he should be cheap) and Sopel...

Wow Philly sure is loading up on young defensemen. I wonder if they have further trades coming up with some of their other D or are they just loading up the cupboard?

Is Sopel a UFA after this year?

Brutal deal for the Nucks, Sopel, regardless if he's the #5 guy or not, is not an effective defenseman.

He's been solid for LA this year.. I know a lot of people bashed him but he isn't as bad as a lot of people think..

Defense of
Ohlund / Salo
Mitchell / Bieksa
Sopel / Krajicek

thats a pretty solid defense.

And it sounds like its Vancouvers 2nd since its conditional for this year or next.. so its not that bad of a deal

What would be the purpose of this? 9 pts out of a playoff spot.

Good grief
