I wonder what draft pick Buffalo got from Philly?

and to a lesser extent, I wonder what draft pick Buffalo got from Columbus for Conklin...

I'd like to take this opportunity to publicly wonder, once again, why the hell Glenn Healy of all players has such a prominent spot in TSN.ca's coverage.

I can't imagine a worse analyst - just dumb. The latest gem was musing that nobody is scared of playing Jersey in the playoffs - are you freakin' kidding me? If you gene-spliced the dumbest parts of Michael Irving, Rush Lumbaugh, and Al Strachan into some sort of Frankenstein of idiotic commentary, Glenn Healey would still make that drooling monstrosity look like Cam Cole.

Has anyone watched the Sportsnet circus for trade deadline day so far? What a joke - guys eating pizza, air hockey going on in the background with music and hooting and hollering. I went for 5 minutes, couldn't hear what was being said because two clowns in Leafs jerseys were screaming and jumping up and down after every air hockey goal. Additionally, Primeau is about as lifelesss as an expert can get. The Eklund rumours are pretty lame too. Pretty low class.

Hey all,

On TSN I just saw Brian Ross heading out behind Pang to the ice for the morning skate. Not sure how often he practices with the team, usually for an injury. Perhaps Jussi is not practicing with the club this morning like Biron?

So how's Barnett going to look at the draft in June when he announces the 8th round pick for Phoenix, only to find out the draft has 7 rounds?

What a sucker.

Good point....

That was per Pierre MacGuire on TSN though as he told Bob McKenzie & it was announced.

I'm working from home today so I can watch the deadline activity... lol

Did anyone catch what the crew on Sportsnet was saying about the Oilers making a push for Seabrook? It was rumored that Philly offered Carter straight up - what would the Oilers have to throw in the mix - Lupul? What was said - did anyone catch it?

Guerin to SJ for a 1st round pick(NJs from the Malakov deal) and a non-roster player... potentially more.

Good pickup for SJ - if they pay less for Guerin than what ATL paid for Tkachuk - that would be a steal. If Brian Burke is looking to fire, and he is ancy, what could Smyth attract, I would think the return would be disgusting. To me the signing if not done, this needs to be considered.

Agreed I'm a big fan of buy low, sell high.... hockey is a business now... if we can get a boatload for Smytty we HAVE to consider that.

Ship out Smith & Smyth, then try to sign Smyth again in the offseason.

Agreed, return on ivestment would be ridiculous. Also, Eklund posting that Bertuzzi might be dealt to Anaheim and a new idea of Torres to Ottawa - if Lowe could get Eaves or defensive help from Ottawa that would be ideal. Eaves Meszaros - Torres Smith. Probably bunk, but maybe - one can hope.

I see your point dawgbone, but did he really get to choose or was it more of a 'request' from Phoenix mgmt? I guess if I was in his position, then I really wouldn't want to stay somewhere I wasn't wanted...

Is anyone listening to Laraque? He didn't want to go to Pittsburgh at first because he wanted to see what other options he had. Is he kidding - is he turning into Louie Debrusk? A few points gone to his head? I liked Healey saying if he enforces his no trade clause, send him to the minors. I like Georges, but come on.
