Call me crazy, but is anyone else kinda excited after the 4-5 hours it took for everyone to get over it (me atleast)?? I mean, this FORCES the young guys to step up, if they dont, they lose out, they got no stars to bail them out (Smyth, PRonger etc), Hemsky mate, your time to shine, take it, and with it, become a star, lets see how many points you can get in 20 games with out Smyth.....

GO OILER!!!

What's with the cup? Is this to poke fun at us for not winning it last year and a long way off from winning another one? I know they did it for Messier in New York as well. I still disagree with it.

You know.. I wasn't really emotional at all until now. Watching this just makes me think about Smytty. It's really ****ing sad.

Parading the cup around has absolutely ruined this ceremony for me.

There are alot of "Moose" chants.

I think Kevin Lowe is avoiding the ceremony because of the trade today, I honestly feel bad for him that he couldn't be a part of this.

They booed Bettman but no one else yet.

They keep saying Moose which sounds like boos..but I don't think any real boos yet.

I see that now. I expected him to show up, but I can see why it would be a distraction now.

i hope this is the last ceremony for a while because man, the team must feel so much pressure and it must be pretty annoying having to see this every year about the oilers winning all these cups and the boys on the bus. Also, no mention of kevin lowe's name anywhere in the speech of craig's speech.

I wonder if Lowe was originally suppose to say the speech but made craig say it cause of the trade.

Don't be silly. Feel bad for him? He's a man. If he feels he did the best thing and can easily explain it, he doesn't have to hide in a cellar waiting for the storm to clear.
