The other day a Ranger fan was telling me how he was listening to WFAN (our radio sports-talk station), and they were saying that the Sabres lost Briere to the Flyers the day they traded Biron to us.

Believe me Storm, I wasn't atop the Briere bandwagon until about playoff time. When I watched him with no animosity (as I had last year) I was truly, truly impressed. I just sat back and envisioned him on a line with Simon for 82 (or 100+) games and began to get, well, a bit excited. Somewhere deep inside I just knew we were gonna get him this summer.
I think by the time Halloween rolls around, he will have silenced any negative thoughts any of us have about him. If nothing else, let me be the first to coin the phrase: Flyerspeed.
And with Comrie, on the Isles, we might see a rematch!
I was pretty happy to get him before, but now I love the guy. I just have this sneaky feeling he's going to get the Flyer mindset down rather quickly and become the scrappiest little 100 point scorer in the league.
