since you're the mod you can see I have been a member for a while but haven't posted til tonight. I liek Renney overall believe it or not, the Rags got a raw deal this year after a bunch of bad bad bounces, breaks and so on. Good think the Yanks put on a show today - give me something to look forward too

If he's on the rangers, I wouldn't care if he was a cry baby or not, as long as he scores its all good with me.

My response has nothing to do with you being a new user or not.

I just think it's too easy to say Fire Renney. Especially because it's not (and should not) happen.

to be honest - I HATE the way Sid plays. Gifted or not, the kid needs to grow up a bit. For the last 2 years, let Pitt keep him, when he grows up and IF he ever becomes an FA, then think about it. I don't thinkhe could handle NY though

Rangers have to lead the league in brutal losses this year...

And rather Jagr not shoot in the shootout. Its as simple as the fact that he's just not good at them and its pointless to have him out there doing it.

Go with the guys who are better on breakaways... Jagr helps this team plenty.

Man, I was rooting for you guys tonight. If it wasn't for bad luck, you wouldn't have any luck at all. I truly dislike Pittsburgh.

I don't know what it is but they can't to crap this year. Cullen one on one with Staal should have never happen. Lundqvist giveaway should have never happen. Betts should have never have taken that penalty. This is a disgrace the way they lost this game. Such mental errors this late should never happen. They just gave away another point. I have no idea how they believe they are going to make the playoffs.

How could you not? I've never seen a team be able to whine to the refs to have them call a penalty on something like the Betts incident.

Again, is this **** the NFL where you can whine 10 seconds after the play and get the call?

So, Nylander is the new whipping horse on these boards now instead of Malik? God forbid you miss an opportunity to whine on him about something. Never mind he scored a goal, created lots of chances in the offensive zone and tried to do his share of the defensive workload, he was probably personally responsible for everything that went wrong anyway, right?

We should probably beat him to death for trying a deking move that has been very successful for him so far in the shootout this season, a style that has probably made him the most successful penalty shooter on the team so far (don't have the stats, but he has scored alot of SO goals).

Give me a break. You just love to find a goat to pick on instead of looking at all the collective things that went wrong, like that we let in 4 goals on our own PP in the last 2 games. But let's not speak about that, let's continue to whine on individual players about something for 15 minutes.

I agree. Hossa's been the star here for a while now and they don't even let him shoot? Come on

I didnt wanna get personnal, thats not what I meant at all, just friendly discussion with people who know what they are talking about. But as much as I don't think Renney should be fired - (I really dont want him to be even though emotion takes over sometime) the guy has some serious issues in dealing with personnel and making big decisions. Hopefully these are growing pains and he will be a good coach for years to come. After all - he did bring us back to the playoffs last year

What are you talking about!? How is he supposed to avoid Fleury when ALL he's doing is skating to the corner and Fleury comes out and initiates contact with him!?

Like Betts could have done anything when Fleury slides out right in front of him when Betts is about the chase the puck in the corner. Betts tried his best to avoid Fleury, but he was just in the middle of the way. The way I see it, it was Fleury interfering with Betts, not the other way.

As for Lundqvist's goal, yeah, it sucked. The puck just passed the extended line with 2 inches, he couldn't touch it and had to rush back. The shot hits his pad and goes in through the post. It was just as much unluck as bad play from Lundqvist. It could just as well have hit the post and gone out.

by the way SingnBluesonBroadway - I LOVE the idea you had in the ref's post about overruling the call. Unfortunately another great idea that Bettman will never approve

It makes sense to me. The neutral zone is even. Each ref takes an offensive zone and he can overrule calls made in that zone. It just helps the game get called correctly.
