Why don't the Flyers play Rock 'n Roll Part 2 anymore?

While watching the Flyers AT Islanders game on Tuesday, I realized that the Flyers don't play Rock 'n Roll Part 2 (The Hey Song) after goals anymore.

Now they play that weird circus song...

Does anyone have any idea why? I don't understand how anyone thought the new song was better.

And for that matter, why don't the Flyers play a pretty good amount of organ music like the Islanders do? I hear the organ maybe once every four faceoffs at the Wachovia Center.

Why?

Because Gary Glitter is a pedophile and he gets royalties from the song.

OMG. What Roger was trying to tell you was that the game was AT the Nassau
Colisseum NOT the Wachovia Center.

Jesus christ man, the reason you didn't hear the music when the Flyers scored was because the game wasn't at the Wachovia. Had the game been at the Wachovia, you would have heard the music.

When the Flyers are playing at home and they score, they play this weird circus song (I don't know what else to call it.)

When the Islanders play at home and score, they play Rock 'n Roll Part 2.

The Flyers used to play RRP2, I remember them playing it when Gagne scored in overtime in Game 6 against Tampa a couple years ago.

Now they don't.

Is that a good enough explanation?

While I'm not a particular fan of the song the Flyers DO play, they don't play R&R2 (nor Song 2 for that matter) probably because it's a tired song - at one point almost every team was playing it.

I think there are plenty of better songs they could play. I'd like to see the Flyers drop some speed metal on us one of these days.
