What is with stortini? way to go girl. why don't the oilers keep allowing boogaard to goon them without payback. he reminded me of neil sheehy or huggybear brashear.zakk is a pansy who picks his spots. why did the oil ever let georges walk?

I really think the team has given up. Let's hope MacT can spark some effort in the 2nd and 3rd. ...oh wait.

I've got nothing against MP and JFJ

but I doubt they're the guys to get Lupul going

I have seen that line get three shifts against the Wild's fourth line though so we know who's getting the soft mintues. BTW..MP's play has really flattened out lately. Had that nice play for the assist in Det but hasn't generated a lot of offense in the last four games and after looking great early on here's his first lull. Let's see how long it takes him to get out of it.

I know the Oilers went down 2-0 on the five on three goal but it was probably worth it just to get Boogaard off the 12 min. Looks like he knocked Reasoner out so he's three for his last three. If we didn't get him off the ice maybe he would've taken two guys out.

I hope the actual team doesn't give up as easily as everyone on this board does. One goal in the fisrt period and everyone says the games over...

I'm gonna stay positive. Theres still 40 minutes left of hockey to be played...no sense gettin down after the first 20.

This team is like a train without a conductor. Passengers panicking, running around, doing nothing positive. The train is going off the tracks at the first bend in the tracks. Way to rally the troops, Captain Smith.

Forget putting the banged up guys on IR - time to start benching some of these prima donnas, and call up the young 'uns for a little blood transfusion.

I can't stand Staios. Can't stand him.

Holla that Nugg Fugg, this team needs to try harder, we have alot of skill in the line-up, if Smyth made the team, then why keep anyone else, there is more to this team than one player, Go Oilers, still 40 to go, just keep shooting at Harding, maybe you can upset his groove and nerve him out, need hope and skill, GO OILER!

That wasn't the greatest period but I for one don't expect this team to be very competitive for the rest of the year, especially right after Smyth being dealt. There's good signs though (Jacques playing very inspired lately is one) but there's also those that are disturbing (the continued struggles of Joffrey Lupul and the uselessness of Petr Nedved to name a few). My expectations of the team have been tempered after the Smyth trade. I'm not so bitter after every goal against and it's clear to me this isn't a playoff team. I'm just hoping our youngsters can develop well with their increased icetime that will undoubtedly be coming. Another thing, why does Stortini get so many 10's for doing pretty much nothing? I can think of 3 or 4 times off the top of my head that he's gotten a questionable 10

Referring to yourself in the third person doesn't suit you.

Seriously Georges, didn't your game just finish? You've got to let the bitterness go, man.. just let it go.
