I just want a couple goals. We have score a goal in almost 5 periods.

Ownership, Management & Coaching lead by absence of accountability...

Run their #10 until they realize their playoffs might be real short if Lemaire wants to play that kind of game. They have lots of skill guys that can be targetted and then they will be forced to go Wild and take bad penalties.

MacTired always gets to the dance too late after he's been outfoxed. He is in a way a perfect fit for a GM that is a dollars short and a deal diddled away.

And in the out-of-town scoreboard, Blues win in OT after scoring 2 goals in the last 2.5 minutes to tie it up.

We are not losing, we are improving our draft position.

Impossible. The Oilers have used their alloted callups for the season it appears. Now only injuries allow us to call up the youngins.

My expectations of the team have been tempered after the Smyth trade. I'm not so bitter after every goal against and it's clear to me this isn't a playoff team. I'm just hoping our youngsters can develop well with their increased icetime that will undoubtedly be coming. Another thing, why does Stortini get so many 10's for doing pretty much nothing? I can think of 3 or 4 times off the top of my head that he's gotten a questionable 10

I think its just because the ref's know his history and know he's only put out on the ice to get into fights and start crap. So the more they can keep him off of the ice the easier their job is going to be, and the calmer the game stays.

A dirty move by the ref's yes, but I'm sure they are told to do it.

Smyth and Bergeron are doing what they can do get us a lower draft pick. They still know what it is to be an Oiler.

Thats enuf of that. Cmon boys, lets get a goal tonight.

Why? He couldn't hit or skate properly, and we have guys that can do at least the job he did for less money.

Perfect, now we are 1 point up on St. Louis with a game in hand.

Feel bad for Isles fans a bit because they probably really wanted this one.

That's actually a rule? Why? Perhaps they should have been a little smarter earlier on then, because the up-and-down philosophy they employed was ridiculous. Do they need a new copy of the CBA?

People should be wanting the Oilers to drop and drop. I want a high draft pick. Who cares about winning games now.

Are you new?

The Oil have had a ton of injuries lately, that's when they used up their callups.

Sorry that I was unaware of a minor rule. As far as I'm concerned, injury call-ups should count towards this supposed number.

I don't mind losing, I just hate not playing proactive physically, and pounding teams that think they can take liberties.

I am on the fence on this one.. Part of me wants them to fight their way into the playoffs and really show everyone what an Oiler really is. (Even though this is what we do every year and end up with a mid level pick)

Another part of me wants the Oilers to call up the little tykes who play during intermission so we get a high draft pick. (I love watching those little guys )

If someone gets hurt now, the Oil can call up players...

But, you saying that the Oil should "have been smarter earlier on" is ridiculous.

Did you want them to ice a lineup of 15 players until after the deadline? Grab a clue.

I wonder if we'll score a goal the rest of the year.

I'm with you. I want our guys playing hurt to rest and us to use the emergency callup rules to bring up Schremp, Brodziak and Nilsson. I want to see what these guys can do so far. May as well get them the development time.

After all, it isn't like we have our own AHL team where they have been studying and playing our system all year or anything. They need to start learning Oilers hockey.
