There was a live chat today with Bill Clement on ESPN.com. I contributed and asked about early season MVPs, Ziggy Palffy, and Frolov coming into his own. You can find the chat transcript on the NHL front page if any of you are interested. Just a blurb...
Go Kings and very important win for us tonight against the Predlies.
Bryan (garden grove, CA): Hi Bill, thanks for the time. Just wondering who you thought was the most valuable player to his team right now. One name that pops to mind is Ziggy Palffy. The Kings would be in last place without him. Also, what do you think about Frolov. He finally looks like the real deal and has dominated some games for them.
Bill Clement: Without a doubt, Frolov is having a breakthrough year. He's always had the skill but it's always come in spurts. And true that on Ziggy. If we're talking MVP, I like him, Markus Naslund, and Ilya Kovalchuk with Brodeur in goal. Too bad they didn't give out the awards in December, huh?
Bill Clement is awesome! I don't know why some people hate Gary Thorne. I think he's one of the best, and when paired up with Bill they make a great team. They are no Bob Miller and Jimmy Fox though. ;o )
