What about Balej?

or (I can't believe I am saying this) Czerkawski or other overseas players (Daigle?)
Their season is winding down....Balej is done with his season in Switzerland!

I have seen Balej play and he is on top of his game. Czerkawski although soft still can bury the puck on PP. Right now more than anything we need to score some G's

I know I will be crucified for this but what the heck.....

If I ever see Mariusz Czerkawski in a Rangers jersey I think I'll cry

What about Balej, Czerkawski or Daigle for what?

I can't imagine any situation where I would want them on this team.

we need wins and there is a good chance we will have to get our points in Shootouts. our top guns are not firing as well as they should, or am I wrong on this?
Getting a kid from Hartford is not going to help as they wont see shootout action.
Guy like Balej or Czerk are genuine options.

i know only too well about these guys shortcomings and I am not advocating us forking out big fortunes for them but it just might me plausible to have Balej on instead of Orr in the line up. Right now we need goals/points not PIM.

I have seen Balej play couple weeks ago and he was awesome....

Not even filling water bottles, organizing the sticks on the bench and yelling shoot from the stands?

I understand. And I'm saying I don't see them being anything close to a fix. If you want someone for shootouts, let's see what Bure is up to. No, I'm not serious.

We can't get em here, the deadline for signing FA's have passed a looong time ago.

We can only bring players here who are done in Europe and signed with us, like that finnish goalie.

well - Balej is at the top of his game skills and those are considerable.

Just look at Hossa,
a while back he barely cracked the line up and now he is almost hailed like a saviour

timing is everything

Indeed...the league instituted a deadline (some time in December) when FAs had to be signed by. Besides which, Balej I believe is still Vancouver Canucks property

Didn't Balej have a really serious injury last year? Like something to one of his internal organs? I didn't even know he was playing anywhere this season.

And like everyone has said, guys like him aren't the answer, and it's too late anyway to sign them.

We've already taken a flyer on Daigle and Balej once.

Not much has really changed.

I would take Balej, I almost feel as if we didn't give him an honest chance to succeed in NY...

Lets get them hurry, before AHall/Orts starts making proposals....

Whats Bruce Bell, Johan Witehall & Jari Gronstrand up to, we could use their help as well.....

Think they would have had to be signed by 12/31 to play in a game this season.
