I don't know, but Franzen has been playing a good game so far, skating hard.

yes he has
it seems like everyone has stepped it up this game and last
then again it is Chicago, so we can't really judge yet, we need to play a real team 1st

I hope we see more of that 4th line in the 3rd
I just get this feeling the Hawks are going to start running anything that moves out there

Same here. The Hawks have had a(nother) bad season and are getting shown up by the wings again. It can't be sitting well with anyone on the Hawks bench.

And I have to say that the whole "fighting after a clean check" thing is ridiculous. If a hit is dirty, I'm all for someone going after the guy who threw the check but hits like Franzens are perfectly clean. He had the Hawk player in the chest and shoved him, still upright, into the boards. It was a hard check and the Hawk player ended up on his butt, but it was as clean and safe as a check can be.

By God, I do believe Kyle Calder may have lit a fire under Langer's butt...about time something did.

We do, unless you think we're going to face Chicago in the first round of the playoffs

I'm with ya

The Calder - Lang - Franzen line looked good. It'd be nice if they can keep it up and we entre the playoffs with something like this:

Zetterberg - Datsyuk - Holmstrom
Calder - Lang - Franzen
Cleary - Filppula - Bertuzzi
Maltby - Draper - Samuelsson

Nice mix on all 'top 3' lines

I was actually really disappointed when Lang's goal went in, because it kind of excused him for the two worst giveaways I've ever seen, on the 5 on 3. He made some nice passes later in the game and didn't give it away as much. We've seen this before though - he'll have a big game against Columbus or Minnesota or Chicago, and then go into the tank for another 2 months. We'll see.

Great game by his linemates. Calder had a lot of spunk, and Franzenstein was a holy terror in this one.

Lapointe needs to grow up. Anytime anyone put a clean hit on one of his teammates, he'd run over and start a shoving match. I liked Lilja dropping his gloves after the linesman had already grabbed Lapointe and started pulling him away. Lils, we saw you turtle against Philly. You're not fooling anyone. Lilja did have a decent game, though. A couple big hits, and no horrible gaffes that I can think of. One out of fifty ain't bad, right?

Nice giveaway by Schneider. Wow. But he's great defensively, really.

It would have been poetic justice if the Wings had scored a shorty after blowing by Williams at the point. Close....

Flip played a great game. He had an ugly turnover in his own zone, but outside of that, he did a very good job keeping up with Datsyuk and finding either the puck or the open space.

Hudler also played a really good game. He didn't do much early, but he was all over the place the last half of the game. Nice to see him score one of those "hands" goals we've heard he's so good at.

Nice game by Filp and Huds. And nice to see Lidstrom finally nail down number 200 Rough little game, made it fun to watch although no Wing ever responded to the rough stuff. Also worried about Lebda and Micky Redmond also mentioned Homer was not on the bench towards the end of the game...Any reports?

Come on, it was the common goodbye present by the Wings to Williams.

Datsyuk has been fantastic. It is really a great treat to watch him.

Lapointe has really improved a lot over the season. At the beginning, he just had that little soul patch thing going, looked horrible. Now he has the full goatee.

So you see, he's making progress one step at a time. You just have to have your priorities.
