Old Import Drafts

Hello. Is it possible to have lists for old CHL Import Draft, more specifically from 1996 back to 1992?
Thanks

That's not the same Novotny that was taken by Buffalo in '00 is it?

No. Jiri Novotny of Buffalo would be 12 years old in 1995...a bit too young for drafts

That's what I thought. But, I also know he was highly touted before his draft year.

I found other things, but incomplete.

Can you help me?

From 1994 Import Draft:
Andrei Didenko, 1st pick by Red Deer. I miss the number of the pick

From 1995 Import Draft:
Pavel Rosa, drafted by Val d'Or. I miss round and number of the pick

From 1996 Import Draft
Tomas Baluch, drafted by Chicoutimi. I miss round and number of the pick
Roman Malov, drafted by Kingston. I miss round and number of the pick

Could be, I'm not entirely sure. I just copied that list exactly as the WHL's '06-'07 Media Guide had it. So any spelling errors or other problems are the way the WHL has it.

I'm guessing Andrei and Andrey are variations of the same name. The WHL guide has Andrey Didenko being drafted by Red Deer at number 23.

You're right that is an error in the media guide as they printed a partial list of 2002 as 1996. However, you're in luck that I have an '03-'04 guide that has the correct list:

1996 Round 1
3. Edmonton - Dmitriy Yakushin
6. Prince George - Zdeno Chara
9. Calgary - Roman Pylner
12. Moose Jaw - Richard Cihak
14. Saskatoon - Evgeniy Afanasiev
17. Red Deer - Michal Horak
20. Portland - Andrei Podkonicky
23. Seattle - Kim Staal
25. Spokane - Marian Cisar
28. Kelowna - Karel Betik
31. Lethbridge - Marek Ivan
34. Regina - Dmitri Nabokov
37. Tri-Cities - Petr Sachl
42. Kamloops - Gennady Razin
44. Prince Albert - Vladimir Mizera
46. Spokane - Yegor Mikhailov
47. Portland - Vesely Ondrej
48. Tri-Cities - Vladimir Bednar

1996 Round 2
49. Swift Current - Michal Rozsival
56. Lethbridge - Eugeny Tsybouk
57. Saskatoon - Vladislav Klochkov
58. Red Deer - Martin Tomescek
60. Medicine Hat - Sergei Ratchenko
65. Regina - Alexei Morozov
68. Kamloops - Nils Anton
70. Brandon - Pavel Terekhov

As for these, like I said I only have the WHL lists. Best bet is to email the QMJHL and OHL and ask or better yet buy all 3 league's media guides. I assume the OHL and QMJHL Guides would contain their Import Draft lists as well.
