Samsonov

Am I the only one that thinks that Samsonov is playing really well on that first line with Koivu?

I hope he's kept there when Higgins comes back. IMO, we should send Ryder down to the 3rd instead of Begin, who is better on a fourth line.

What do you guys think?

I don't know if you are the only one, but I see effort and work from Sammy. He is NOT lazy.

I don't see results, though, and we've played 67 games.

No results at all from a player in an offensive role.......draw your own conclusions.

That's exactly my take. As a matter of fact, I've seen efforts from him most of the year. But he's not a 4th liner. He's paid for results, and there's none.

He has done on this line like he has on all the others, he has hung onto the puck to long without taking a shot or making a passing play...to me he never made a difference out there.

Yup, Samsonov gets the puck in prime scoring position.. a few dekes later and he's covered and the puck is going the other way on a counter-attack.
