I'm not against Saprykin personally, but I feel if Muckler got him to address experience/leadership needs then he should be doing more to do that. He should be laying hits, hustling, grinding out pucks, standing in front of the net, getting in people's faces.
Right now I don't even notice when he's on the ice, a very very bad sign come playoff time...
He does all that except for laying big hits but he is only playing 7-8 minutes a game here so far. For the Yotes he played around 13 minutes a game most of that ES minutes. If you want to get more out of him, play him more and with skilled players. He is a very good player but he is not a 4th liner, he can handle more minutes. He came to this team and hes 6th in scoring and three points off third behind Schaefer.

Yes, Saprykin did all of that on Phoenix. It is called "being a big fish in a small pond".

Not really 13 minutes is not much. That was 12th on the team among forwards. He managed to put up 30ES points which is pretty good playing with Zigomanus and Sjoristrom. He did not play with Doan,Nolan or Reinprecht to name a few. He did not play "Big fish" minutes but had enough ice time to show of his skill. Murray cutting his ice time in half here does not make much sense if you want him to produce.
Geez our secondary scoring really needs to pick it up.
Dean McAmmond (C/LW) 0 pts in last 6 GP Mike Comrie (C/W) 0 pts in last 6 GP Antoine Vermette (C/W) 0 pts in last 6 GP Chris Neil (RW) 0 pts in last 4 GP Chris Kelly (C/LW) 0 pts in last 3 GP Peter Schaefer (LW) 0 pts in last 3 GP Mike Fisher (C/LW) 0 pts in last 3 GP
Although Fisher and Schaefer get a bit of a free pass because they went on a 6 game tear.

Jesus man o_o. I know this is the NHL and it's a tough league and all but Mike Comrie and Vermette really have no excuse for not having a point in 6 games o_o, I wonder what there -/+ stats were...
Very very sad. We can't rely on the top line all the time, I say time for a team meeting.

hahahahahahaha. That's great. Personally I think Murray should throw a curveball every once in a while and put a D man up front. Heck he might even try it by the end of the year when he runs out of line combinations!

you can't tell me you didn't see that coming
ahahaha, once I threw out 4 D during a PP and we scored. The forwards were so pissed.
