Nashville Road Trip (3/10/07)

I know it's a week early, but just wanted to see if anyone was making the trip south next week for the game?

I'll be there, will be my 2nd road trip to see the Jackets.

I've actually just decided today that I think I'm going to go. I'll probably decide tomorrow and get my tickets if I am for sure.

Posted a thread earlier asking for some tips and advice for coming down to Nashville, but the Preds fans haven't been accomodating to this point. Guess that team down south doesn't want to gain any fans to put themselves over the 12,000 mark for attendance.

I've been to the Gaylord Center before (to see basketball) and it's a great place, the upper levels aren't that high and there really isn't a bad seat in the house.

Good, that's what I wanted to hear. I'd really like to make the trip, but I'm looking to spend as little cash as possible.

I, on the other hand, am looking to spend as MUCH cash as possible.

Who wants to join me? I'm looking to book a suite and fly in some lobsters and Cristal.

If you're going to make a road trip, why not do it in style?

Myself, wife and 8 other friends will also be making the trip. I think we are staying at the Holiday Inn near by. Should be a good time - my first trip to Nashville.

The whole Jag clan will be there. We're staying at the Holiday Inn as well (I think that is where the Jacket Backers are staying too.) Should be a good time. We'll be in section 325. Don't forget they are Central Time, so you gain an hour heading down there.

Not that any Jackets fans have a leg to stand on but I certainly hope we show some class in another team's arena. I'm still steaming from that Buffalo game.

My husband and I are going as well. I know we are on the side the Jackets warm up on, 8 rows up.

Found the tickets- Section 107 row HH

Maybe we can all meet up before the game??

"We have two kinds of music...country and western"

Been to Nashville four times...seen the CBJ beat four times....tired of getting run out of the GEC..

With that said...Nashville is a fun town. Broadway has lots of good eats and drinks. Fans are friendly. And, you can find a bar on Broadway that doesn't play county music

I've been down to Nashville numerous times. I've never seen a Jackets game but we've seen a lot of concerts and different events. Broadway is a great place to start to find post and pregame entertainment

I've been to 2 Sharks games at the GEC. It really is a nice arena & the fans weren't too bad even though the Sharks got beaten both times. We were in the lower level about 6 rows behind the Sharks bench, so maybe we weren't so much around the die-hards, although I don't recall seeing a bunch of "suits" there either. The first time we stayed at a hotel (something about Union Station, I think) that used to be a railroad station - it was pretty, but could've used some renovation. Stayed w/ friends the 2nd time.

We were only there for the game though, didn't really have time to do anything in the downtown area. Driving through we saw lots of bars/ restaurants though, so if you're looking for something to do after the game it looks like you'd have your pick!

I spent my summer with my grandparents in Nashville. Everytime they went downtown we always somehow ended up at Gaylord Entertainment Center. The Arena itself is beautiful, although I've never gone farther than the front tourist area. The arena is also just caddy-corner to bars and clubs with country music if that's your forte (not mine). Also, you can't beat southern hospitality.

Forsberg Hurting

Well, this was the chance they took when they picked him up. Though it isn't his ankle, he's prone to a million things. I'd like to see him in action for Saturday, but I'd think if they sit him against anyone, it'd be the Jackets....

For those of you guys and gals making the trip, I hope you have safe travels to and from and a good time while you're there. Here's hoping for a Jackets victory that would make your trip complete.
