THN future watch - b's

1- Rask
2- Lashoff
3- Stuart
4- Kalus
5- Sigalet
6- Lucic
7- Krejci
8- Karsums
9- Alexandrov
10- Walter

For the Mark Stuart haters, he's ranked 47th overall in the top 50. An interesting list that I don't necessarily agree with, but was wondering what the rest of youze think.

Lucic is a lot higher than I thought he was going to be...

That makes me happy.

Same here glad to see him so high. Also Sigalet seems really high to me. I expect Karsums and Krejci to be ahead of him.

Nugs, I am still a believer in Mark Stuart. He looked much better in his last trip up. There is absolutely nothing wrong with a few years in the AHL. He will be a player IMO.

If he was ranked 47th... where was Lashoff/Rask ranked?

I don't get to watch the PB's - can someone who has watched Lashoff this year tell me their thoughts on him making the NHL next year? How has he looked this year?

Ouch.

I kinda thought he'd be higher than that. I'm happy that we have three in the top 50, however.

Lucic deserves it. He's really lighting up the WHL this season in every way.

how is Krejci not 1 or 2?

All he has done is produce, produce, produce.

The guy is nearly automatic in the shootout.
He makes the players all around him better.
He is the "go to" guy on the Providence Bruins.
He is 20 years old.
He has been scoring more than pt/game for at least the past 15 games.
He isn't nearly as soft as I thought he would be. Actually finishes many checks.

i don't agree with much of this list, but krejci still wouldn't be top 2. rask and lashoff have much more upside.

How in the hell can Krejci be rated behind Lucic and Sigalit or even Kalus for that matter. The guy is tearing it up in the A, especially since going back down. Way better prospect than any of those guys right now.

after lashoff, the list is a little hard to figure out. then again, most of the people who cover the bruins don't follow prospects too much. some of them can't even spell krejci.

Would you rank Krejci ahead of Kalus nugs?

without a doubt I think he has a much higher ceiling and has the potential to score many many more points than Kalus in an NHL career. Krejci will have to be in that top 6 role to succeed though, and I think Kalus will be great whether he's on the top line, or on the 3rd line.

I wouldn't personally.. I like Kalus's size, speed, and "grittyness" better than Krejcis vision and puckskills, but thats just me. I think Kalus is gonna be one heck of a player.

Krejci is a player i've seen play since his Gatineau's years. He will be a player for the B's for years to come starting next year. He can do everything (he was shadowing Crosby in Jnior and one of the only one able to held him off the scoreboard). He has great hockey sense and can be the playmaker as well as the scorer. Was also playing the point on the PP. He should be our 4th line center next year. If not, i'll be (again) disapointed in Lewis judgment...

Go Krejci Go!

Regardless of where they fit on our own rankings. It's pretty impressive that we have prospects at every position that are potential impact players...

Goal: Rask
#2 Dman: Lashoff
Shutdown D: Stuart
Top 6 Wing: Kalus
Top 2 Center: Krejci

And there seems to be some real talent on the way to Prov next year in the form of Marchand, Alexandrov, Sobotka... Go B's.

When THN does rankings on their own (with some random writer helping) they really bungle it (see Walter as a top5 prospect in one of their mags this summer). But I believe that for last years Future Watch they based their team-rankings (1-10) based on what the team's GM or aGM told them for alot of the teams.

I also think that Krejci should be higher... but I don't have anything against any of the guys he is behind.

Stuart--I believe he was around 47 a few years back then jumped up and now is back to 47. With Fehr he is probley one of the longest-standing players on that top50 list being from the 03draft.

Vlad Sobotka should be in the B's top 10 prospects.

i don't remember exactly, but the two johnson fellows, toews, backstrom, okposo, mueller, m.staal and carey price were a few of them. luc bourdon, too.

by the way - the bruins ranked #6 overall for 21-and-under talent, and were #1 overall in quality of selections vs. average draft selection spot. nashville was 2nd. not bad at all

That list doesn't look right to me. But then again, I've only seen Lashoff, Stuart and Krejci play. Off those 3, I would rank them

1-Krejci
2-Lashoff
3-Stuart

I think both Krejci and Lashoff both showed that they can compete and contribute in this league. But Stuart needs more seasoning. With the way the Bruins depth chart is shaping up for next season, I think Stuart will likely be in the AHL for another season (best thing for him anyway based on his short time in Boston this year).

To see Sigalet, Lucic and even Kalus ranked higher than Krejci makes me scratch my head.

What's your list look like nugs?
