C'est beau c'est beau. This game is going to be a slam dunk for one team or the other. 6-2.

Awesome... I'll help the media members with their interview questions for the game tomorrow.

To players-
How does it feel to play Gary Roberts?
Does it feel weird to play your almost-teammate?
Are you afraid to leave the lockerrroom?...Gary Roberts is out there, ya know.
Haven't you wanted to play with Gary Roberts since you were a kid?
Who's going to lead you now, if you can't get leadership from ex-Maple Leaf players?

Murray-
Have you developed a game strategy around Gary Roberts' facewashing and post-play punches from behind?
How can you think your team has a chance without Gary Roberts?

Muckler-
Why didn't you give up 3 times more than any other GM did for Gary Roberts?... That's obviously what the market would bare and you didn't pay it.
Why would you add another European player to a European laden team instead of The Heart of Toronto?

Can anybody come up with any others?

Todayís practise lines featured:
Heatley - Spezza - McGrattan
Saprykin - Fisher - Alfredsson
Vermette - Comrie - Eaves
Schubert - McAmmond - Neil

Murray spoke about the chance of those combinations being used tomorrow when the Senators host the Pittsburgh Penguins. ďAs I told the guys today, I donít know if these are the lines by any means. I think itís really important that they are flexible because of the type of team we have. They can play left or right wing on occasions. They can play with McAmmond one shift and Fisher another. I really think we need that kind of ability. Because of the stretch drive, you do have people missing (from the lineup) on occasion.Ē

Well done Trentmccleary.Too true, but as its on Sportsnet instead of TSN
it might not be quite so bad.

Nevertheless, I'm sure that Gary Roberts would like to show Muckler that he should have paid the price and Saprykin may be out to show that he is the better choice-at least thats what I hope.

Larocque may be looking to prove his worth by starting something with McGratton.

Because this may be the first round match up there are lots of interesting sub-contexts for this game.

I'm really looking foreward to this game, hope its a good one.

Dunno if Eaves will play, knowing Murray he might try to pull something that Pittsburgh could never imagine....a 2 player first line!!

I really love that shot of Alfie.

We better win this. I cannot tolerate losing to a Staal brother.

Here's another shot of Alfie you might like.

Just in case McGratton needs a hand.

That's a Grats vs Laraque set up for sure, with a little extra for Roberts if he gets out of hand.

Pretty sure he was just keeping Kelly's spot warm. Schaefer will probably miss the game but Kelly should be in.

Mcgrattan on the first line......

This be a great game and real exciting. Should be a good indicator of where we sit in the East and how we matchup against the Pens who could very well be our first round opponent. I think the Pens are overrated and still too inexperienced and underdeveloped as team to make any noise in the playoffs and even put a dent in our game if we play them. Pittsburgh is going to come real hard for the 3 games we have against them the rest of the schedule but as far as the playoffs come the young players and the weak defense will be front and center.

Sens better get it going , I want to see them playing a depserate and inspired game with alot of effort and focus. Treat it like a playoff game and hold our spot in the standings. Not only do you got Pittsburgh right behind us , but Atlanta , Islanders , Carolina are coming hard.

Show Roberts we don't need him

Man, I really need to find somewhere in Ithaca to watch this game. Looks like this will be an exciting one. I'm certainly hoping the Sens figure out why the hell they've relapsed into blowing leads... I hope it's a temporary problem.

Pens fan here..

Good luck tomorrow night.. Looks like a possible playoff series preview..

Sens vs Pens.. I always loved saying that while playing the old NHL '98 games..

Almost as fun as the Seattle vs Minnesota NFL games.
