Kovalev Fans - Enter

Anybody who is going to the game on Thursday should cheer when Kovalev plays. That madeup article is bs and I think people should show that the media's lame attacks on players sometimes should go ignored. In this case: Kovalev. From now on whenever some BS in the media attacks a player, we should just cheer them even more. Ignore the politics of it all, it's BS that they do it to begin with.

I hope Kovalev gets a hat trick on thursday...

I think Kovy is going to come out on Thursday like a man possessed. He can float and be lazy at times, but when he is pissed and really wants to play....Look out!!!

Even with everything, he's my favourite Hab (with Higgins and Komisarek). He has the talent to be a GAMEBREAKER and he did it so many times last year (when in the faceoff circle in the offensive zone), taking a good wrist shot and scoring or MTL getting the goal on the rebound.

I'd be very disappointed if he was traded or bought out (like some "fans" want).

Kovalev Warrior forever!

I wouldn't count on too many Kovalev supporters thursday as the game is in Atlanta.

Next home game march 13th against the Islanders.

He's got a grand total of 13 goals this year. You're not the only one hoping he scores tonight, or at least one more time this year.

Can't be there as i'm stuck in Toronto (help) but I sure hope everyone cheers for Kovalev. Shouldn't let the media dictate the views of the public. Course I'm sure this isn't limited to the French press and is prevalent with all media to a certain extent. Which reminds me of that movie..."Wag the Dog" was it? Not the greatest of movies but interesting nonetheless.

With 13 goals in 68 gms played (by the habs), his current pace says he'll get atleast 2 more goals. So I think asking for 1 more goal is safe, but just barely.

I'd be happy with that, it would be good for the habs and for my hockey pool.

If he scores 4 goals in the next two away games he should be fine when they come back in Montreal.

Who cares. A ) The media has dumped on Gainey - borderline personally and B ) they said the org thinks Chippy is done and predicted he was the youth who would be gone for immediate help on deadline day. So, they have illegitimized themselves (La Presse) IMO anyway before this came to light. Whether or not this newest stink has merit is totally irrelevant to me because of A and B.

GO KOVY GO - WE LOVE YOU

Kovalev IS a Gamebreaker. He hasn't played at that level this season but he has still played well. I think he will make or break the habs in the next few weeks and seeing as how people know Kovalev/Koivu make or break the habs, I think the article was just madeup probably in essence by some other team to try and give the Habs a hard time right before getting into the playoffs. (Yes, I quote "right before getting into the playoffs.")

So that having been said. I think Kovalev is going to try doing everything in his power to bounce back from this load of steaming dog crap. He will start to play on a roll and bring his record up so much between thursday and the end of the season, he'll dare I say it: bring his record into a decent standpoint for this season (and ours). I think we'll end up riding Kovalev/Koivu/Halak deep into the playoffs and Kovalev will once again prove, he is the gamebreaker people thought he is.

I like your approach. Two more goals would put him at 15, quite impressive, especially for a game breaker. With scoring like that, no wonder he has no need to back-check.
Go Kovy!

I like Kovy, the only bad game I think he played was the last one against the Bruins. Other than that game, he continues to be my favourite Hab.

No doubt, if he does that and MTL wins those games, everything will be forgotten.

Go Kovy!
Oh I know...could you imagine if he hit the 30 goal mark? He would be given permission to be the teams pilot, put his feet up on the board inbetween shifts, and walk by Carbo put him in a headlock and mess his hair while saying "Who's your Daddy??"

Indeed we can. Can we like Kovalev, cheer him on, believe the article is legit, and still hope the Habs find a way to dump him in the off-season - for reasons completely unrelated to the article, though?
