Is he up for trade or what?
Where is he by the way?

I know his value is low since he didn't make the team.
What would the Habs like in return? Honestly speaking...

He is part of the team, he is injure since the middle of november (ankle), he will be back next week or so. You better forget it, he is cheap, young and play with grit. The Habs will move aging and overpay vet before him. Ward also have some upside, so forget about having him in the Penguin shirt...

Well honestly speaking the Habs would want everything Ward is or will become for them, a big gritty physical go-to forward with loads of character. Jury's still out on his offensive upside, but he's certainly very valuable right now on the two bottom lines nonetheless. So he's not going anywhere. Habs are small and soft. Now that a big physical guy has finally made the team, they won't trade him (well Savard would probably have, but Gainey won't, especially considering the fact he said he was impressed with Ward when he got hired).

Ward is out with a broken ankle and will likely return next week.

Cool.
Yeah Ward was very impressive at the end of last season. Alot of people in Montreal were happy about him. I noticed alot of callers on CJAD considered him a key of the future.

You guys should keep him.

Thanks.

Let's hope it's not an offer like the one the Flyers were made for Chouinard. Ward is a keeper, and if used properly, he will do good.

Has Ward started skating as of yet? If he is due back in the next week or two, I would assume he should be skating soon...

Yes he's been skating with the team since last week. We should see him back late next week or early the week after if everything goes well.

At the time of the trade, Chouinard was not even playing in Hamilton and that trade was a steal. Since then Chouinard made the Flyers line-up. Why? Go figure.

There is no reason to trade Ward, IMO he is in front of Hossa and Higgins by a mile.

So far, Chewy has 11 points in 45 games in Philadelphia... whoop li doo!...

Let's see what Lapierre will do and the judge if it was a good trade or not. IMO, Chewy won't ever amount to much. (neither will Lapierre, though)

And Chouinard was never gonna make it in MTL and I believe was waiver draft eligible this fall. So a 2nd rounder in a good draft or keeping him, *hope* by some miracle he develops and eventually getting nothing for him?

I'll take the 2nd.

I think you'll want to edit this between now and next year. Higgins is the better player "by a mile" in just about every aspect of the game (skating, stickhandling, defense, offense). The only place where they're both on par is grit and character.
