Recent injuries forcing preds into an unusual call-up???
Hopefully this one is a little smoother than the last game at the Nat(Gnat? Gnationwide?), where we were looking past the game and almost lost because of it. Need a real effort tonight, the Jackets are coming off a 3-0 blanking by Dallas, and are likely hungry for retribution.
They are missing a lot of regulars....We have to win this game. If Adam Foote isn't playing, their defense is especially weak, even if Hitchcock is behind the bench.
So is Vokoun starting tonight for sure? I have Mason on my fantasy team, and I know he played well against Calgary. If Vokoun is starting, I'll sit Mason.

Thanks!
nothing is official until they take the ice. however we do know that mason started thursday. and since vokoun has come back to play, mason has not started 2 games in a row. thus it is reasonable to assume that vokoun will start. also we don't have another game until the tuesday/wednesday back-2-back games with detroit(which both goalies may play start). so unless something strange is going on, i doubt vokoun would get a week between starts since he is not hurting or playing bad.
of course you can keep checking the local rag to see. they will usually announce some game day notes(including scratches and starting goalies) just prior to game time:
Everyone please note that tonight the Predators Foundation is running a children's book drive. They are looking for new or "gently" used children's books. So look around the house and bring a couple of books that have been sitting on your shelf collecting dust recently to donate for a good cause.
In exchange for their donation, donors are being rewarded with an "exclusive" discount ticket voucher for a future game.

Our defense has actually been better since Foote has been out. He's got the worst +/- of all of our defensemen. However even if we had him I doubt it would change the fate of this game from being what we all know will happen.

I'll be there tonight, with books in hand. With only 100 tix left, the crowd should be great and hopefully loud as hell. NO excuses.
lol i missed them too....and nature just happened to call during legwand's goal
Hopefully Trotz realises that Kariya + legwand= production on most nights and that when Forsberg returns the only time he sees Paul Kariya is on the powerplay....
Brule's goal was brutal. He was left all alone in front of Vokoun. He picked up his own rebound and slid it by an outstretched Vokoun...Zidlicky, Kimmo, Abid, Fiddler, and ? were on the ice for that one.
Kariya was just skating around the goal as Legwand was on his stomach trying to slide it by Norrena. Kariya was right there to tap it in for the tying goal.
The Kariya-line with Legwand is better, its very obvious. Why not atleast try Forsberg with Radulov? I mean, people can be great great friends, but that doesn't mean that they will be the perfect playing match.
If Trotz got some coaching awareness, he will realize that Peter is better off with somebody else.
It was not a boring game at all in person. The arena was buzzing and there was a lot of action even given the score. Tootoo looks like he has found a 6th gear now buzzing around out there.
I thought Zids had a much better game tonight and, if I noticed correctly, he was not returned to the first PP unit. Can someone confirm?
I would love to see a Harts, Forsberg, Rads line when everyone is healthy but we shall see.

It was boring in the sense that we went into the protect-the-lead shell about midway through the second, and spent most of the third in our own end, in a 1-2-2(something that against stronger teams is typically a recipe for disaster in a one-goal game)
