Target : Columbus

OK guys, according to oilfans.com, we're 5 points up on the BJs, so they've gotta get their ***** in gear in order for us to pass them and move into the top 6.

http://oilfans.com/draftPickStandings.php

The top 5 or 6 seems to be where the action is this year, so if we can just catch up with/get caught by Columbus, we're only a hop, skip and a jump away from a top three pick. At the rate we're going, I don't think that's too much of a stretch, is it? C'mon, eyes on the Jackets boys!

I do hope some people here realize where I'm coming from with this....

The way it's going right now... The Oilers can probably end up with a top 5 pick.

I laughed.

But ugh, it would be humiliating to finish behind Columbus.

yeah, it was a classic. There are still BJ fans with a hate on/persecution complex for Oilers fans.

Whatever. I want us to fall as far as possible. Worst overall if possible. I don't care who finishes ahead of us. I want one from that top 3/4 group of Turris, Kane, Cherry,Alzner.

No shame in getting a better pick. It just means we'll finish ahead of the BJs more often in the future

You guys would rather watch your team be humiliated and lose their dignity in order to get a better pick in the draft? Hmm

For sure, this season is done and it's better for the future.

They're trying. It's just not good enough. Nobody's cheering for them to lose, they'll do it all by themselves. We just see the benefits of the predicament we're in.

Losing now is an investment for the future.

Hopefully Lowe doesn't sue me for plagiarism.

With the number of injuries we have? Absolutely. We are forced to play guys who started in the ECHL this year, and we still don't have a full contingent of players. At this point, enjoy the experience the kids get and hope for a massive tumble.

We'd be better off with 1 bad year and a top pick then 10 mediocre years with mediocre picks.

You should all be glad that in american sports you can not fall into a 2nd League when you are one of the weekest 5 Teams or so at the end of the season.
My favourite soccer team is now only 1 Point away from a spot that would send them to League 2.
I will be crying one month if we can't stay in the league...
