Will Montreal make the Playoffs?

Every season it comes down to this, PLAYOFFS. Habs ive been playing like the worse team in the league. I want to know if you think the will bounce back and make it? Or is it too early to tell?

Not likely considering the kind of effort the players have (not) been putting out!

In order for the Habs to make the playoffs, I feel we have to win [B]at least[B] 10 of our remaining games. The way this team is playing, I don't know if they can win 1!

Sorry, not even going to sniff the post-season.

No. I have no hope for this team to get in the playoffs. The players have given up on Carbonneau. Hopefully we get a new coach by next season.

Not this year and I'd like to thank poor Management for that.

I myself does not have much confidence in this team right now, but I don't think Carbo is the one to blame. The players don't play the way their suppose to, Huet leaved us due to a unfortunate accident. Remember at the beggining of this season, many of us were voting him best for the Conn Smyth trophy. I just think this team doesn't have much leeft in them, we're just not a big team. Let us hope that the after season brings us better luck.

Carbs has made a lot of questionable decisions. His line combos are even more mind boggling. He is not an offensive minded coach but our team is offensive minded. The Russians on this team are not a good fit with Carbs as coach. Kovalev on the 4th line today.....thats amazing. Great coach you are Carbonneau.

We will not made the playoff .

Remember the Théo publicity ?

''Quand on change d'attitude , sa change tout . ''

''When we change attitude , it change everything''

(don't sure about the traduction , but its the best I can .)

Thats what the player need . Especially Kovalev !

No....they are not going to make the playoffs!!!
And I don't wanna sound rude, but people really need to stop posting about if the team will make the playoffs....come to grips with reality.

I would rather that they didn't make the playoffs. If they make the playoffs then people are going to be satisfied with the team just because they made it, if they don't make the playoffs, then everybody will realize that there needs to be some drastic changes made to the lineup.

Realistically, they won't make it, but they aren't out of the race yet.

No!

This team doesn't have it and hasn't had it in about three months. No confidence, no goalie can make a big save and give them confidence, can't score goals when they need them, no line chemistry, poor coaching decisions, etc.

Even if they did somehow manage to squeak in, they'd probably be swept in the first round.

I'm already looking ahead to next year. It's time to hope for the next best thing... the Leafs missing the playoffs as well.

I think they will turn it around, and make the playoffs. I believe I am the only one so far, so remember this when they go on an 8 game winning streak, and squeak in.

It might sound like i'm saying this because of a win, but I get the feeling we sneak in.

It is just coincidence or I barely see a positive post in the 18 first post of this thread before the game and 2 positive on 2 replies after the game?

It'd be extremely unlikely but its possible. I don't think we will however. Too many teams ahead of us and they all have games in hand. The guys right behind us all have games in hand and could pass us if they win them as well. This would take a miracle and I don't think thats possible with our goaltending duo. One of them would have to stand on their head.

Doesn't it just suck though to look at the OT points. Man, I hate points for losing. We'd be right up there in the thick of things if it weren't for those points. We never have many and the other teams around us always seem to have plenty when we're in tight races.

It blows my mind that they are considering the 3 pt win thing to make all games worth the same amount. Now that there is a winner every game why don't we just make there be a loser every game as well? None of this point for losing garbage. A win should be worth 2 points in every game and a loss worth zilch. In the beginning I liked this 1 point think as it felt bad when you scored a last minute goal then lost in overtime and got nothing for your work but after seeing it in action it really is just silly if they are going to go to 3pt wins in order to balance things out.

I think we all believe we can make it. Just as Florida can still can make it. Believing is one thing, but when it comes down to will we or won't we you've got to admit we're in a bind here. Odds are stacked against us in a big way.

the game vs stl didn't impress me at all (stopped playing again after the 3rd goal).

I stick with a no... We had a chance to prove our strenght and the players just stopped playing again and we almost lost the game
