Genčve-Servette Playoffs - Serge Aubin

I'm a big Serge Aubin fan and I'm going to be in Switzerland during spring break on March 10 and 11. I understand Genčve-Servette has already clinched the playoffs, but I am fairly clueless about the Swiss Leagues. I wanted to see if anyone could tell me about the playoff schedule and if there's any chance of getting to see Aubin play during the 2 days I'm in Switzerland. Thanks a lot.
Jim

the 10th of march (that's a saturday) is the date for the 7th quarter-final. So if you're lucky Servette is still playing then or already has qualified for the semi-finals. There is a chance that you might see him, but I wouldn't say the the chance is big.

The first round will be played from february 24th with game every saturday, tuesday and thursday, so the schedule is

game 1 : sat, feb 24th
game 2 : tue, feb 27th
game 3 : thu, mar 1st
game 4 : sat, mar 3rd
game 5 : tue, mar 6th
game 6 : thu, mar 8th
game 7 : sat, mar 10th

The second round starts on march 13th with games every tuesday, thursday and saturday, except in the unlikely case of all first round series ending in 4 games, in which case it could start earlier.

The top 8 teams qualify for the playoffs, with the top 4 playing games 1,3,5 and 7 at home. As Servette will end up 6th, 7th or 8th, games 2,4 and 6 will be played in Geneva.

Servette 'll be a underdog team for the 1/4. But they have severals chances to go through and reach the 1/2. But for sure, come in Geneva for the March the 3rd. lol

Enjoy your trip.

As Serge Aubin will very probably miss the Playoffs due to an injury you have to bury your dream.

I hope his injury is nothing too serious and is not career-ending.

Luckily for Servette the injury isn't as serious as it looked first and Aubin can play on Saturday in the first playoff-game vs. SC Bern.

Now Serge Aubin is in a B Swiss League for the playoffs (EHC Bienne, the club wants to play in A Swiss League next season!) with Kirby Law and Jiri Slegr.

Speaking of Kirby Law, how's he been playing? Boy, could we use him back in Philly. His last year here, he led the team in scoring.

He had a good season in Geneva on a line with Serge Aubin. Very good in the offensive zone, but not as good as Aubin as an overall player.
